I think eng generally did ok v italy.

Rooney needs to be dropped and i would fancy us then.

Surely Suarez carnt be that fit as already mentioned, if he is fully fit he could tear our defenders a new one.

Will Uruguay pull a crowd like Chile did last night? If so it's effectively an away match akin to backing Aston Villa away to Atletico Madrid in a one off game. And you guys are backing England at 2.1 ShockedWhoops

wont be fully fit but will no doubt come on at some stage.

thats not the problem anyway.
the problem is now england have to come out and not try to park the bus how will the back 2 cope with movement?

i though peru were terribly unlucky not to bag a few goals recently at wembley and their forward line is woefull compared to uraguays

no idea what you're talking about. i have made huge profits in this world cup

uruguay were abysmal the other day, no way they can trouble England

4-0 get your dosh on. back england to win is buying money. it'll be all over by half-time

The talk of 'best England have played in 15 years' is obviously hyperbolic nonsense.

That said, England didn't have a bad game against Italy, they lost to a very good team but passed well and at times looked very dangerous on the attack. A bit more luck and they could've gotten an equaliser, a little less luck and the Italians would have got another rather than hit the crossbar...2-1 seemed fair overall to me.

Uruguay really surprised me with how poor they were, but they've been dogshit for a while. I'm not really understanding the comparison to Chile, who have looked dangerous for a while now. I also don't understand how someone can say that the likes of Cahill isn't up to this level when Uruguay field Lugano. England seem to be one of those teams that people find it difficult to have a calm, sensible discussion over.

Considering the last couple of results I'd say that the prices are about right. This isn't the Uruguay of 4 years ago and this is an England squad that is in transition, for all its weaknesses it's nowhere near as bad as some make out.

Pullein be praised, I don't think there's a stand out bet. I do rather hope Rooney does well to shove it up peoples bell end though.

If Costa can beat Uru then we sure can, this match shouldn't be too difficult and England should be around the 1.80 mark

Unders has moved from around 1.87 to 2.18. Is this based on Hodgson saying England will attack?

Hodgson *should* make changes.  Not because the Italy game was poor but because the heat and humidity and the amount they put into the last game will have taken it's toll.  Plus the Italy game shows where we are so the main point of this World Cup should be about getting these players experience on the biggest stage

Here are my thoughts

England - 1 at 3.3 on the asian handicap easy win

Uruguay with missings and their best player is unfit

Could be 4-0

I thought 'red card in match' would be nearer 6/4 so 100/30 with Billys is tasty imo...

England odds-on in places seems short enough for me so Uruguay @ 11/4 is the bet... cheers.

Everone seems to be underestimating uruguay, they are miless better than the way they played against costa rica, it wont be the same uruguay who turns up

Only thing that's worrying me is that when Sterling or Sturridge DO score they will try and celebrate with Suarez and get sent off Laugh

I have bet against Arsenal many times and will continue to do so, I know exactly when to lay them, nobody can judge the confidence, momentum and quality of the team you support more than you.

+1. Although several times I layed us, we played **** and scraped a win (away at Newc for example). Didnt know what to think...I mean, of course I was delighted that we won Mischief

I actually like this England team and would have backed them at 2.4, but 2.0 is silly

Uruguay are being massively under-rated by this market. Ignore the game against Costa Rica, it was in totally unsuitable conditions. The cold of Sao Paolo will suit them far better.

Italy had the ball, England did the running.  Old Rooney and old Gerrard might still have that in their legs.

Yeah thinking the same myself, can't see Uruguay playing as bad in this game. Taking a spot of the 120 on offer and will wait a bit longer before I take a plunge on the match tonight.

The Uruguay price reflects not only the loss of their captain Lugano but right back Pereira is banned and Suarez cannot possibly be 100% match fit so I would say they are at a huge disadvantage to start with.

I can't back England at evens. I can't back Uruguay because I want England to win. Small anytime bets on Cahill and Jagielka.
