what's England's chances against Uruguay?
By:
England's chances better than fair. Uruguay not up to much in the last game and England will have a go.
By:
just have a horrible feeling we're gonna balls it up.
By:
i guess that's just part of being English though
By:
Well, I'm normally negative, but Uruguay's performance in the first game was really poor.
By:
I'm not English but I think England are the better of the two. Bear in mind that the England will have the knowledge of how to deal with Suarez (if he's fit and plays) while Uruguay themselves aren't up to much. They'll need to worry about Costa Rica who they will struggle against.
By:
Yes a lot of talk about Suarez, but just barely fit but not match fit as no training for 30 days. I agree, I think Costa Rica are a bigger threat than Uruguay.
By:
Uruguay were rubbish vs N Ireland too in the friendly just before the WC
By:
I'll be so happy if we make it through the group. We look genuinely quite good for the first time ever and this World Cup has been the best I can remember so far so it would be a shame for us to go out early. So much entertainment.
By:
We look OK, at least a positive attitude going forward with pace but not the finished article to go very far, still possible to go through the group and I expect them to win tomorrow.
By:
No pace in the Uruguay side from what has been seen so far. Does anyone rate Cavani? He's always been a huge letdown every time I've watched him play. They don't have anything also to suggest they will trouble Italy especially.
By:
The thing is Italy are such a dangerous team so I don't think it was a great shame in losing to them, especially considering we definitely deserved something from that match. A win tomorrow and things will be looking pretty good.
By:
it was shockingly bad defending, for a supposedly top tier national side, and imbalance in the team that caused the defeat against Italy
that is down to the manager failing to set the team up in the first place and worse than that, failing to correct the glaring exposure of Baines at half time in a match we were drawing and could not afford to lose remind you, Italy scored on 50 minutes and had threatened down the English left flank throughout the first half very very poor and any decent manager will be looking to take advantage |
