With Paul Lambert's own future uncertain at Villa, with the club up for sale, it seems a strange one.

Could see Roy Keane as assistant to Lambert at Celtic, allowing Keane to continue his role with Northern Ireland, but Lambert is not a front-runner for the Celtic job and don't know whether Celtic could afford the pair of them.

Probably just being polite when speaking to Villa. I can't see Keane being happy as an assistant at a club. It's ROI btw bb.

turned down the managers job at celtic to take assistant managers job at villa.

so has he been told that celtic might be playing in the lower divisions soon or has he been told to bet on lambert being the first EPL manager to go next season.

time will tell.

I would think being assistant/coach to Lambert and O'Neill
would be a whole lot cosier than being manager of Celtic.

Because Roy Keane was a!ways a man to think of cosy first? When I think of Roy Keane that's the last thing that springs to mind

Managing a team in Scotland called Celtic is
a bit different from managing almost any other
club, methinks.
