How this organisation has been allowed to 'govern' football for so long is beyond me. Surely it is time for the powerhouses of world football to take control and say enough is enough - UEFA should withdraw from FIFA, and say that we no longer sanction their countries to enter the FIFA world cup. They would run their own competition from 2018 - which would be in Russia - 2022 would be in Australia or re-tendered. It would then be in Europe every 8 years.

Without European money the FIFA would be doomed.

Multi-billion pound decisions are being made by corruptable individuals, who only got to their position by....... corruption, because corruption is the norm in their countries.

UEFA is far from perfect but Blatter and co. have to be show the door by those who are paying the bills.

Is there the will among the major football nations to topple blatter & his boys tho?
Everyone is still getting paid and the likes of la liga, the epl et al are all
reliant on cheap african, latin american, asian talent.
I am afraid it is going to take a massive fluck up to get rid of FIFA
I agree with the OP
how does an island nation in the south pacific get the same voting rights as Germany, well thats just asking for trouble
But the only way Blatter will go is if the Brazilian people  rise up in their masses
this summer and actually cause enough civil unrest to cancel world cup fixtures.
That will get the likes of McDOnalds and Coca Cola pulling out of sponsorships
Then and only then will there be a concerted movement for reform.

UEFA have made it clear they're opposed to Blatter's re-election.

I agree that FIFA is a corrupt organisation and UEFA should withdraw from it but I don't think UEFA are that far behind them as regards corruption.

they constantly "arrange" draws etc to suit the richest countries and have even been known to give one of those countries the team that they asked for in the play offs.
