The 5 o'clock start is sh1t. It almost gives the impression that it doesnt matter being at such an in between time.
The semis being played at Wembley takes a lot of the 'special' away. Man Utd being asked to pull out of the FA Cup and play in the World Club Champs was a big nail. But mainly it's the disregard for what football should be all about. Winning matches and giving lesser clubs the chance of glory. I am so glad I heard Wigan fans and possibly even Wigan staff say they would have taken relegation and a cup win. Who gives a **** when each club yo yoed in 20 years, but Wigan fans will ALWAYS remember their special day at Wembley. |

efisio. 17 May 14 09:17 In it's day it was quite possibly the greatest football competition in the world. The final itself was the only game I can remember being televised live as a kid. -------------- Now - "live games," - are 'ten a penny'. |
