I'd love to know who in the press association awarded last nights first goal to Torres, straight at the keeper until the deflection. And here's me left with a losing 16-1 Lopez first goalscorer ticket. Fleecing toby!

It's only given as an own goal if the shot would have gone wide without a deflection.

I understand the rules but its a load of old cobblers, also i'm sure that i have seen on target shots ruled as own goals, and this should clearly have been one of them, straight at the keeper until it took the deflection. Robbed!

but how would you have felt if the same thing had happened with lopez first ????

and if you play goalscorer markets, why not cover yourself with lopez to score at any time as well

Its an imperfect way of deciding who to award the goal to. Otherwise it would just lead to loads of arguments and controversial decisions.

Was Torres goal but there is inconsistency. Lambert had a cross/shot vs Everton which was probably on target but no one (apart from me) thought it was his goal. Plus different countries tend to have different interpretations, in Spain they love to give any goal to the attacker even if the effort is wide.

i was thinking that at the time.  had lukaku FGS so i was on a loser anyway, but should technically have been a lambert goal.
