Account suspended?

I have no idea. They said there was numerous accounts affected but he had no information. Just wondering if any1 else has been affected?

You gave the answer yourself, it is probably because you used two accounts from the same pc, I guess they consider such activity as suspicious.

Nope only have the one account. The guy said on the phone that other people were affected but he had no information as to why

yes I know someone who was affected also and they have to send in ID now to sort it out, but Betfair did not give a reason.

I had the same thing happen to me last night and again first thing this morning. Tried to log on but screen just timed out giving me the impression they had stopped me accessing my account. Had another go today using my daughters laptop and logged in straight away. Tried again on my computer and couldn't login again! I use Firefox and I am sure it is a problem with the actual browser and it seems to have happened since they introduced the price rush thing (I did e-mail them but have not had a reply or even an acknowledgement!). I updated my firefox version and have actually got back on the site (after a couple if goes). Have you tried logging in on a mobile or tablet?

I was the same, anytime i tried to log today it just timed me out, used Firefox, Chrome, IE on home PC and laptop they were all the same.

Only managed to log in by using Firefox and clicking history (top left) > clear recent history > clear now.

Placing bets was another chore, when i clicked to place bet it just timed out again then when i tried to refresh page it took me back to the exchange homepage

every bet today took about 4 or 5 attempts before it worked

yeah was a deposit issue. deposited yesterday and apparently funds didnt leave my bank

So it was fraud ? Trying to transfer cash you dont have for a bet I like it

Info I have is that there was an error in that deposits were being credited to Betfair accounts but not being deducted from bank accounts. Some people spotted this and took advantage. Apparently accounts will only be unsuspended when unfunded balances are cleared.
Staff are ringing round trying to sort but they have been caught on the hop.

Well looks like they are not going to unsuspend it anytime soon as the banks do not operate over the weekend ???

for example if I withdrew money on a thursday night you would expect it to be in bank with in 3 days so sunday ...BUT they do not count weekends so money would be in tuesday ...Looks like there will be no BETTING for a lot this weekend on BETUNFAIR ...clumsy feckers lolllllll

It will be interesting to see how and if the stock price will react to this on monday.

As far as the suspended accounts are concerned I wouldnt be surprised if there is a life ban.

I deposited my normal bet amount, had a bet which won, and now my stake and winnings are sat in my account and I can neither have a bet nor withdraw what I have won. I have not done anything wrong yet I'm being treated like a bloody criminal.

Well I would not know. It takes up to 48 hours to show up on my credit card statement. I have no reason to believe that there is a problem. There never has been in the past and I've been using the card for years.

Was told last night this would be sorted by today - it`s still suspended. Can`t get through to anyone at the premium team. Have been promised a call back still waiting...

Must be only certain people Bedford ?? I can place bets etc and deposit and withdraw ...was checking to see if all is alright again ...As i did not do any betting on here yesterday when the meltdown occurred

Spoke to them, all withdrawals on hold until monday.  No authorisation codes from banks, some tried to take advantage.  So all us customers are penalised for their error

so, only withdrawal will be on hold, or accounts remain suspended up to monday?

My account is still suspended and betfair still have no idea when the issue will be fixed. I have 4 withdrawals from Friday and they have not sent any of them to my bank yet. Absolute joke customer service.
