Shame, been a decent player. On the plus side though, at least now he'll be able to devote all his time and energy to defeating the scourge of racism. A truly great day for Great Britain.

He was a very signing for Reading in the january window in 2012 and was key in the promotion so i always thank him for that.
Just a shame he has decided to be the person who is wheeled out when their is a 'race' issue, if he decided to be a proper pundit with views on every subject im sure he could do ok. |

As a Wigan fan I would like to wish him good luck in whatever he does....
Used to love watching him and "Duke" Ellington ripping shreds out of defenders on our charge to the Prem....happy days  |

the first time i witnessed him in the flesh away at bristol rovers and i thought we need to sign him up, that was 1999 ish, he was nearly premiership class at that time. A fit JR at his peak was very, very good. He got Reading promoted. |

He was superb for Reading, Bristol Rovers and Wigan. i think the fans would back me up on this.
Sadly after his retirement he has chosen something else, maybe he feels strongly about. Not sure how to say this, build up your reputation then build up your beliefs.... |

On motd 2 last season he looked and sounded like he was on ecstasy lol the speed he was talking at and his eyes bulging out sockets
