For a start we could make the Champions League entry only for the Team that wins the League in their country - after that there is scope to introduce a secondary competition with some structure to it - however the level of TV money will not allow that to happen

 firstly I would not let the teams that lost in the UCL in to Europa i.e fail to qualify, you're out second, cut the groups to 4 teams, and have them grouped by geographical location to cut down on travel time top two go through to knockout |

The entire CL is padded out, imvho. I'd just have knockouts but I know that's never going to happen.
