Got very excited when I saw 5/6 on Motherwell at home to beat Partick Thistle. Then I looked on here and saw 10/11. That's a helluva price for the home side and here's why.
Motherwell are battling Aberdeen for 2nd spot this season (if they win their game in hand will go back to 2nd spot where they’ve been there or thereabouts for most of the season). Due to cup matches and postponements, they’ve had a 3 week break so the players will be fully refreshed and raring to go on Saturday v a poor Partick Thistle side.
Since mid November, ‘Well have only lost to Celtic in the league and have a record of 12 wins out of 12 v bottom 6.
They have beaten Partick Thistle in the last 5 meetings (3 league games, 2 cup ties) and thrashed them 5-1 away just a few weeks ago. The likes of John Sutton and James McFadden ran riot against Thistle last time. Henri Anier could also feature this time for Motherwell and he has blinding pace down the flanks.
5/6, 10/11 just looks way too big to me. I was expecting 4/6 at best. Just can’t see anything but a home win here.
5/6 is about right. While the Well should win as Thistle look like a poor English conference team, the Well have not been as clinical this season and there is always the risk of Thistle sitting deep and playing on the counter and the Well being frustrated.
While a Well win is likely, its not exactly a NAP

I would agree that Thistle's only chance is to sit deep and try and frustrate Motherwell, but that is not the way Thistle play. They play an open style and they don't have the players to play a defensive style. 5/6 is the kind of price I'd expect on St Johnstone (or maybe Hibs) at home to Thistle, but Motherwell are much better than those sides. The price is wrong, and that's why I'm hammering it. Expect it to drop before KO.

Don't know what all the fuss was about really. Backers had the chance to green up when they went 2-1 ahead.
Sounds like a cracker of a game, tho. Will be worth watching the highlights later.
