£70 a month and two nights in a row with a Premier League Programme and no live football on Sky. Wtf is going on?
Pause Switch to Standard View Sky. Is it worth it anymore?

you raise a valid point. Since the arrival of BT Sport I have found I watch Sky less. With BT's new deals this can only reduce "Sky time". I only have it for the sport (eg dont have movies) but also have multiroom making mine about £55 a month. Ok I pay a bit more to have a BT Broadband service but I reckon I'm getting close to dropping Sky altogether. The only thing I think I'd really miss is the Spanish matches with English commentary but Im not sure thats worth the money.
Report McCoy Carp January 29, 2014 6:04 PM GMT
I've only got Sports & multiroom & it's over £70. How come you only pay £55? Did you negotiate with them? I take it BT Sport is still free if you have their Broadband?
Report padlock January 29, 2014 6:08 PM GMT
easier and less expensive ways to have sky imo
Report Stow_judge January 29, 2014 6:08 PM GMT
You can watch the vast majority of the sports content on the web for free, albeit in lower quality.
Humax do a freesat box that works like the Sky+ (though of course with a lot less channels)

Anyone not on Vermin just do search for Slybox F5s and all channels are around £10 per month (without subscribing to Sly) - but do plenty of research before doing it.

Had sky for years and years but thinking of jumping ship.  Will lose more and more sports rights and keep jacking up prices.  If they lose many more premier league games they're in big trouble.
Report geordie1956 February 11, 2014 8:10 PM GMT
More & more of the big games being lost and BT will probably ramp it up further - lets face it if SKY lose any more of the big footie games then a significant number of viewers will change sides & the share price of Murdoch's company will freefall
Report treble February 11, 2014 8:52 PM GMT
The price difference is marked as well.

Sky sports is about £21 on top of your package. BT is just £12 and even free to some people (BT broadband customers). Plus Virgin include it in their XL TV pack.

If they lose any more football, they will have to think about adjusting the price. They wont though. They'll just carry on with their greed.

You've done it wrong mate. You should have insisted on cancelling. You have to give 30 days notice, so you will still get your tv for a month. Trust me during that time, you will get more and more offers until they virtually offer you your package half price for at least 6 months. A year has been known before.

Kingmax,  I'm using XMBC ATM with the mashup plugin. Get all sports channels including bt sports. The picture is not great but well watchable IMO. Is that what you use?
