How strong will City go?

Early thoughts guy.

I think City's line up will be

Pantilimon; Richards, Boyatta, Lescott, Clichy; Garcia, Rodwell, Milner, Aguero, Dzeko, Navas or Lopez

Manchester City
After the 5-0 win in the first leg Pellegrini is likely to rotate his squad and could hand a first start after injury to Sergio Aguero, who is rebuilding his fitness after a lengthy lay-off.
Negredo may get a rest in turn, while Yaya Toure could also sit out having struggled with a couple of niggling injuries of late.
Fringe players such as Lescott, Garcia and Milner should all start.

All I said is "I think" the rest was copied from the website in the link.

I didn't mean you, I meant the person writing that piece.

I know it's copied from a website (I read your earlier reply), I'm only saying that it tells us absolutely nothing new. It's not as though anyone who watches football frequently could not have 'known' that a manager will not play his most important players in a meaningless tie.

0-0 to trade at 28 for me. City don't need to score so could head into half time goaless if they start slow like against blackburn in both rounds of the fa cup. It took negredo 44 minutes to break the deadlock in both games. Without silva toure and nasri city lack creativity!

Manchester City will smash these West Ham boys, the players will want to impress their manager , can see City scoring a cricket score against West Ham

Yes zazu they have been shocking west ham. if yaya toure nasri silva and fernandinho were the midfield quartet I wouldn't be going near 0-0 at 28. But in the two games against blackburn when those four didn't all feature city struggled to break them down and it took until bang on half time because garcia and milner were asked to create openings for negredo and dzecko but they were not capable of doing so. So at 28 I'd hope for something similar tonight were it might take city a while to score plus they don't even need to score tonight!

I'm not saying this will finish 0-0 it just might take longer for a goal than some people expect!!

Pellegrini wont change his mantra whichever team he puts out....

..his philosophy is his philosophy......can see them scoring another 2 at least..

with the firepower they have they could even bypass midfield..... just lump it to the front 2 ...whoever they are......and they would still cause havoc.

Egner that didn't work in both games against blackburn until half time!

yes smithy...but it did work in the end...

...simply saying they are so superior ...tactics ..players...formations barely matter sometimes....

..in the end the opposition is simply worn down and the goals flow.

The only time city look slightly suspect is when yaya Kompany fernandinho silva and nasri don't play. As you can see west ham have already plunged from 9.4 into 7.6 because of this!

Exactly I'm the same super spurs I'd be horrified to lay 0-0 at 28 waiting for milner and garcia to produce some magic. Would have to rely on aguero to do the business!  Can't see why it would appeal to anyone tbh!

i hate these sort of games from a betting perspective, good team that dosen't need to win, bad team capable of rising to the [sort of] occasion, or could fold completely.

Smithy91  Totally agree with you, City nothing to play for,West ham playing for some pride, dutching 0-0,2-1,2-2,2-3. No Kompany or Yaya
no creativity.

West Ham don't want to get mullered at home as well so they must keep it tight, however didn't expect Aguerro to be playing so me lay bet on AQ looks very shaky now but i'll let it ride more in hope now than expectation.Shocked

Schoolboy error.
