Arsenals quick incisive passing by the midfield and movement off the ball will be too much for Barry, McCarthy et al.
2-0 or 3-1 to The Arsenal. |

I make Everton about 3/1 so they're overpriced imo

Everton confidence sky high, but you just know that they'll be trying to frustrate instead of going for the jugular, be a fairly tight affair, draw will suit both at the moment
|

They went for it the other night ,and at City too . Seems to the way Martinez goes about it so can't see them changing for this . |
|
By:
If they go for it, we'll win. We're no Man United
![]() But, I agree, Everton are so overpriced that I've had a rare emotional hedge for a tenner. |
|
By:
If they had of gone for it against United the game would have been over before half time, they didn't in my view, yes they won, but more adventure and they would have breezed it, Martinez doesn't do adventure though.

If he doesn't do adventure why was his left back in a scoring position in the 85th minute at Old Trafford ? The centre forward would have been in his own half at that stage if it was a manager happy with a draw.

Should never have given them their own Parliament, IMMHO...

By:
Wouldn't be surprised if it was 2-0, 2-1, 1-1 or 0-1
|
|
By:
His left back lost his head and thought he was still a left winger, thats why he was there...!
No one that has ever watched Martinez's teams on a regular basis would ever associate him with adventure, not that he should be slated for it, his CV reads well wherever he has plied his trade and he has a habit of getting the best out of what he has at his disposal. Expect the same tomorrow, play for draw, mug the win if he can. |

Cork you're talking absolute **** all throughout that game Everton were flooding players forward, barkley would pick the ball up and have options all over the place, Everton attacked with real intent. United on the other hand were slow, predictable and their midfield was simply not up to the job. Anyway back to the topic, I think that Everton WILL play their attractive, open, attacking football, which Martinez IS and advocate of and has played everywhere hes been. For that reason I think Arsenal will just have a bit too much quality and win 2-1.

Draw. Martinez good manager. Second best in PL in fact.

Everton fans, judging by twitter anyway, must be winning the prize for the land's most deluded fans. Apparently Lukaku is going to sign a permanent deal, Delafeu is better than Ronaldo and Gareth Barry is world class.
They'll get stuffed today. 3-0 or 4-0 imo |

arsenal players will spend the whole game going down and screaming for cards against the fast paced tackling of everton.
expect to see the ref surrounded by arsenal players several times during this match. there could be a few cards flashed for over acting today. |

Market has seriously under estimated Arsenal all season, and over estimated the likes of City and Chelsea. Arsenal are the only semi good consistent team in the Premiership this season and will win it by default, they should be sub 1.5 so the 1.7x has been very tasty. Everton are no pushovers but it's still a very tasty rick in the market. Lukaku is obviously the danger man, he can be very explosive, here's hoping Arsenal bring it today, as if they do it's payout time.

marko2004, please note I said adventure not attractive, all of Martinez's teams have attempted to play attractive football with the resources available to him, they rarely ever show any adventure though which was my point.
As an example Everton played us (Palace) a few weeks back when we were at our lowest and there for the taking, did Martinez look for the 3 points by playing a couple of forwards...? No, he relied on Osman to support Lokuku and happily settled for the point in a dire bore draw. Away to bottom club with only 3 points to their name, gained against their fellow relegation candidates Sunderland, and with one of the worst defences in the league, surely that was the time to go for the win, so what does that say about his intent...? |
|
By:
we had an off day against palace, really dire.
dont have the stats but id be surprised if theres many teams that has their full backs in the opposition box more than everton. |
|
By:
Arsenal win due to 'after lord mayor's show' effect.
|
|
By:
Fair enough, anybody can have an off day, but this seasons record overall although impressive having only lost once, also tells a tale, won 7 drawn 6, more draws than everyone bar Albion, scored 22 hardly screams prolific or adventurous either...?
All good and well the full backs being advanced but what's the point if there is a lack of support to convert the chances they provide...? |
|
By:
When Oviedo scored on Wednesday, Coleman was on the edge of the 6 yard box waiting for a pull back....yeah no adventure.

Arsenal + BTTS 5/2
I think Arsenal will win this but Everton can score. Tempted to take a chance on the two full backs anytime at 12/1 each. Also, if Arsenal do have a weakness it's a high line and slwish centre halves so I'll take a chance on Mirallas getting through and nicking a goal 9/2 anytime. |
