I work for local rag, I've just spoken to some one in the know close to TP, apparently he's not interested, I think he knows Palace are doomed!

except in that article he doesn't say he's "not interested in the palace job", or even anything particularly like it.

the actual quote in the article is:

"A source close to the former Stoke City boss says he rates and admires the way the club is run but isn’t keen to commit himself to taking the job, if it were offered, because of Palace’s lowly points tally and the gap that has already opened up between the bottom two and the rest of the division."

which isn't a direct quote, it's a rumour basically, and doesn't say what you say it does.

though, tbf, you do admit that you work for a local paper so people can't say they weren't warned.

I've heard through Palace end it's between 2, "Chris Coleman or Eddie Howe" if Bournemouth don't want silly comp that is?

He was interviewed and offered the Palace job last time, before he decided to take the Burnley hot seat.

Surely Pulis can't afford to be fussy. There aren't too many premier league sides who will want to employ him because of the style of play he endorses. Apart from maybe Hull, i can't think of a single side that would want him should their managers job become vacant.

So why not go to a side with premier league money and parachute payments if/when they go down?

You are, of course, correct donny. I think I let the ask arry thread sway my post.

@RichArrowsmith: #AskHarry - Can you teach me that magic trick where you can receive supportive text messages without actually owning a mobile phone please?

LAZYLOG1 - no posts ever in 10 years then starts a thread to tell us Pulis isn't getting it and he's a huge lay.

Hi Tony.

I've heard Steve Gibson isn't interested in him because he hated Stoke's style of play.

the sad thing about pulis is, I remember seeing his stoke team absolutely stuff leeds at elland road a few years back and thinking "wow this team's good". they were just so big and fast - like a cut price early model wenger side. I think it ended up 4-0 or something.

then it just all turned to total sh!t in the premiership.

If the local rag was quoting a source it knew and respected from the local area, it might have some credence. As it is, it's indirectly quoting someone close to someone not even related to the Palace circulation area. I'd be tempted to say this was Pulis' way of playing hard to get and improving his bargaining power.

Do Palace want to stay up this year or not?

Both Curbs and Pulis have shown an ability to win enough games in this league.

How do Stoke fans feel about Mr Hughes....?

Howe? I can't see him leaving Bournemouth a second time, especially to
a side who will be playing in the Championship next season. His family
didn't like being away from the South of England and although Palace
ain't North of England I can't see him going there. Mind you, I would
say that, wouldn't I?
