Goal difference, now doesn't matter, because we are 12 goals better off than Montenegro, so thats no issue, however a point, sees us in the play offs and a win sends us to Rio. We have to beat Poland, oh no not Poland, Peter Shilton and all that, not again surely not. The trouble is we are England and come from the great uk and every side tends to lift their game, when they play England. (well perhaps not Montenegro)Poland have nowt to play for, so it can do one of two things, it will either let them play with freedom and ease or they could (lets hope) just put the white flag out and surrender tamely.

Front men did well, thought Gerrard was average at best & Cahill looked a bit iffy at times. Gd win but room for improvement would be my call. |

Its very low 1.33, but the bookies know that everyone, will want to back England, so they make them shorter, than they should be. They do that with most favourites and you get very little value backing the Favourites in most sports.

Him and Lampard both.
Last 15 years wasted watching these two do exactly the same thing and no England manager have the balls to drop one or both. Thankfully this wasted (Golden!) generation is coming to the end of its shelf-life anyway and Barkley, Wilshire, Townsend (you'd have to say after last night) might get the gig ahead of these two. |

I hear you judorick - but it's been the same thing for the past 10 years. Yes, the odd decent performance against inferior opposition, generally at home but in the Finals of competitions or against anyone decent - forget it.

I thought we resolved that issue when Barry came in for Lampard for two games when we beat Israel and Russia to qualify for something and looked much better
