I like Barca, and surely lightning can't strike twice, but is the Messi factor an issue for anyone else here? They've done OK without him in two away games this season, 1-0 Malaga and 1-1 Atletico, but the CL is different. Thoughts?

I would put Celtic on the same level as a low to mid table Primera side - say Rayo Vallecano - Atletico and Malaga are a level above that. Celtic have that fantastic home support though - narrow Barca victory for me

Barcelona struggles in the Champions League without Messi last season due to having no other quality strikers. This time they have Neymar. Don't follow Celtic all that much but they've lost Wanyama, I see Barcelona winning probably by the odd goal 1-0 or 2-1.

CL elevates sides though. Poor sides that should be getting beaten easily up their game, or maybe are given too much respect by the better side, not sure. I would put Celtic top six Primera Liga in regards to how tough the game should be. If Celtic were on the same level as Rayo it'd be a 4-0 walk in the park, like it is most weeks.

Found a decent looking bet.

No corner in first 5 mins - 8/15 at mountains

Barca will dominate posession from the off and it could be more than 5 mins before Celtic even get a touch.

I'm also on Neymar first goal at 11/2.

6 world cup winners I count in the Barcelona team against a side that would at best be a Championship team.

Backing Barcelona all day with or without Messi.

Celtic beat them fair and square last year, is there any particular reason they cant do it again?

How many world cup winners did they have in their team that lost at Parkhead last season ?

Barca wont miss the most overrated player in the history of football, actually I think it's time he moved on anyway, Messi really needs to prove himself in a competitive league.

Morton beat Celtic last week but I wouldnt be putting any money on them to do it again.

Will depend on how much Barca want it today, and in man away CL games particuarly in the group stages they barley break sweat.

Celtic with the home support will surely be up for this and should win by the odd goal, they played well against Barca last year and don't have Messi to worry about. Samaras has shown that he can compete at this level and will be a big threat.

Is that all a wind up or just parts?

Celtic were very unlucky not to get a result in Camp Nou if my memory serves me well - and thoroughly deserved their victory at Parkhead.

Barcelona were all at sea with ever cross ... defended like schoolboys

Struggling to find any value in this match but Charlie Mulgrew FGS at 40/1 is massive.  Any free kick around the box he's your man

Naymar is the obvious shout for barca and 6/1 looks decent (usaully 4/1..9/2)

Mulgrew FGS & Neymar FGS  40/1 and 6/1
