This looks like a banker home win, right?
Austria Vienna are in terrible form and have a lot of players out.I thought Zenit would be much shorter.

From skysports...

"Vienna, meanwhile, approach the match in dismal form and with a mounting absentee list.

Saturday's defeat at Admira Wacker was a fourth in six games, while injuries to key men Marko Stankovic, Daniel Royer, Alexander Grunwald and Alexander Gorgon have left coach Bjelica with only 18 fit players at his disposal.

He said: "We have had a run of games in which we were not able to bring our full potential to the table.

"Against Admira we saw how we are struggling to cope with our current injury problems.

"The players do not have the fresh legs they need to play at their usual level and therefore our overall game is suffering.

"I think we can already start talking about a crisis."

Also, Vienna's next league game is home to unbeaten Salzburg (Sunday 6 October).

Lose that and there's a 10 point gap between the two.

Crisis.

Zenit are top of the league in Russia aswell, having scored 4 goals in each of their last 3 league games.

"The task facing the Austrian side is highlighted by the fact that Zenit haven't lost at home in any competition since October of last year. Their 3-2 loss to AC Milan almost 12 months ago was their only defeat in their last 23 European home games, while they have won five of their last six at a Petrovski Stadium that is quickly becoming a fortress."

recently lost to a 3rd tier team in the cup - did they play their first team for that? if so, that's embarrassing

I think they rested a few for that one.
Apparently, one of Vienna's injuries (Stankovic) is their best player.
CSKA are playing their game on Wednesday in Zenit's stadium, as the rain is so bad in Moscow.
Pitch in Petersburg (which is 700km away) is supposed to be in good condition...

AV are absolute sh*te this season. Lucky to scrape past FH of Iceland in qualifying, then were heading out to Dinamo Zagreb until they scored a late goal, they're off the pace in the league and were dumped out of the cup by a 3rd division side.

If Zenit don't win this, i think it's time to give up.

Totally agree, i really thought the Zenit price would be closer to 1.20 or so...

Not only 1 up, but 14/1 to win - you don't often get that!!!

Only flaw here is that Zenit are mercenary mugs, who can always mess up in this situation. Form is good though, but 1.25 is too short.

Zenit are flying though, even Hulk is playing well and he's usually the biggest mug of all

I agree, price is rubbish though. I like 1.25 on a top side that can be relied upon, but that's not Zenit, imo.

You have to take the opposition into account though, i'd say that AV are the worst team in the group stages. And the only teams to win at Zenit in CL history are Milan and Real Madrid.

not particularly expecting it to land.   just should.  if Zenit try hard enough.  which they don't need to do as they will win in the 2nd half anyway.

Vienna are indeed no hopers - but a viable strategy when u know you will lose anyway is just to be as tight as possible.
