Agree hamster - all he achieved was making it look like more of a crisis than it was.

Also agree that it was too soon. Havent heard too many Mackems calling for his head. Still very early days.

Too much too soon. Only surprise is  he got the boot this month not next. Needs to spend more time in the lower leagues learning the job, especially the man management bit.
Passion doesn't equate to ability.
Sunderland should accept they made a bad decision hiring him.

I blame that over priced always injured fletcher. You could be sure of one thing when he was at wolves as soon as you need to show a bit of spirit he would roll over injured for a month

Lose to West Brom and your job ain't safe.

Who plays them next...? Confused

Of course De Canio had to go. It was damage limitation.

crazy stuff.

They backed him in the transfer market and then gave him less than 10 games.

But selling sessegnon was bizarre

Got a good idea. That Sessegnon? Yeah, our best player, what about him, new contract? Nah, sell him.

I said yesterday, it wouldn't be long, before he was gone, you can't give him a premier league side to manage. He does everything he can, but upsets too many players and when you do that, they just won't play for you

He tried to pacify the fans on yday after his team shamed him and the club. They didnt have the brains to acknowledge him
Down they go now now doubt could be a Geordie double for me down the trap door

He stands in front if the ignorant  fans telling them to blame him not the fans unaware the players were shafting him up the s hit tube getting a spokesman probably fletcher to get the chairman to sack him
Sickening the cowardism shown by fletcher leaving them to play with them men is nothing surprising same at wolves
And  then he left

Was a fight with the players on the training pitch yesterday that got him sacked.
He had a right go at them and they ganged up on him. Player power out of control.

Ridiculous appointment in the first place. He's like an overgrown child. The chances of him lasting a year without throwing his toys out of the pram or falling out with the players was always a 100-1 shot.

Disgraceful scenes.

I wonder whether he will get a percentage of the tens of millions he saved them by keeping them up last year, because they were certainties to go down until he arrived.

Paolo di Canio will have his day, that's for sure. And Sunderland won't.

Bit of a foolish statement considering he has 30 years to prove you wrong and he may not ever manage such a dysfunctional club again.

What sort of person is he?

^^^^^^^ the sort that stamps his foot and shouts louder and louder until he gets what he wants and if that doesn't work, storms out in a strop. A control freak. The sort that loves to make a drama out of a situation if he can. Sorry Paolo, this probably sounds a bit harsh, it's nothing personal mate!

The british players who were there before he arrived had a meeting behind his back and went to the chairman and demanded him out
An absolute joke
Like I said you have mr loyalty fletcher with an Oscar winning preface after missing an open goal being helped off by the physio with a supposed injured arm   Leaving them to play with ten men and having no hope
IMO and from what I hear this was probably a pre planned action and if proven he should be banned from football. He's been apparently injured almost continually since signing from wolves where alarmingly similar things happened
By:
peckerdunne
When: 23 Sep 13 12:13
So dont play him, manage the the situation.
