Thats got to be the funniest report ever, Zenit have said spurs can have Hulk on a season long loan if they pay the 10 Million in wages for the player.

10 mill is a lot in wages but if they get him for free. And pay his wages for a year. It's not as stupid as it sounds.
I think the normal arrangement with a loan deal is that the clubs share the cost of the salary between them
It depends on the player and the clubs. But yes, generally I would not expect them to loan us Hulk AND pay his wages so I'm not sure why the OP is so bewildered. If you think about the money side of it, Hulk is 27 years old so if anyone signs him permanently now they are looking at a massive depreciation in transfer fee by the time they sell him (if at all), PLUS the 10m a year in wages. So a loan deal would make financial sense for the incoming club but perhaps not footballing sense (as by the time he's had his year settling in to the the club/country, he goes back). Loan with option to buy would make more sense.
Zenit are mugging themselves.
