The Old Trafford swagger and go for it mentality for the last 20 years KILLED in the first game of the 2013 season.. will it be back? Probbably not
By:
to be fair, all the time we are paying stupid amounts a month to watch sky sports etc, this is funding the teams so they can pay crazy wages to these over paid to$$ers who couldnt give a shyte and will gladly serve up that kind of garbage....
By:
I bet there were maybe 6 players on that pitch at most who actually gave a fcuk about the game....the rest were just thinking about how they were gonna spend their £200k cheque for that weeks performance.....

It was like old Liverpool/Everton games, both sides afraid to lose and the last 10 minutes, the teams were just happy to keep the ball. Not a bad start for David Moyes, a 4-1 win and a 0-0, against the Premiership favourites. Some will say it was boring David Moyes stuff, but Chelsea came for a point and got one and Robin Van Persie had just 1 shot all evening in the 88th minute, which was blocked. Rooney had an excellent game and looked the most likely to score, but there was just 1 clear cut chance in the game and Welbeck, scooped that over the bar

I just wonder what would be the repurcussions if everybody cancelled their sky subscriptions...would it be a bit like the banks collapsing all of a sudden when the housing market fell through the floor?
By:
moyes doesnt have what it takes oh dear first 0-0 at home to chelsea since 1995 was playing for the draw at the end say it all realy
By:
You used to mock him, but the goal backers / 0-0 / draw layers will be wanting fergie and his watch tapping last minute goal scoring ways :)
By:
Not a peep from the Stretford End last 10.. ominous signs...
By:
A poor game of football and some on here are on meltdown, it's been end of the world stuff for some. Quite funny to read though.
By:
maybe I am just getting old but I feel like I am being taken for a mug by all these multi millionaire footballers who can barely raise any interest in a game like that
By:
jd why you upset
By:
People pay to be entertained
By:
haha, dunno pal, not a great deal of money lost (was on o1.5 goals) just seeing it too often, some of these players can not pass a ball 20 yards....shooting is terrible...Welbeck is considered England 1st team quality and that just says it all...
By:
For me, a massive mistake to play Rooney. The man at Man Utd is van Persie and everything should be geared to getting him the ball, not Rooney. It seems to me that they don't like each other as there's no communication whatsoever between them. Rooney threw away a glorious chance to put van Persie through by being selfish and shooting. Chelsea did what they had to do, I never felt Man Utd were going to put up a barnstorming finale like they did under Fergie. Moyes looks like a man that can't find his car keys.
By:
Seriously, was there any outstanding player on that pitch tonight?
A lot of them are just above journeymen class. |
By:
Moyes looks like a man that can't find his car keys. hahaha

Funny old world. A Banker doing 60+ hour stressful weeks who gets say an annual profit related 100k bonus and it's an evil abomination and a plague on the world, primadonna footballers who earn 250k every WEEK for a bit of training, some golf, a bit of PS3, then 90 minutes of doing what a lot of people do for fun every Sunday and half the fans would give their right arm to be doing and move along no problem here :)
By:
and that is the problem

I have been shouting this for ages, the trouble with football in this country, is, that there are far, far, too many over rated foreign players, playing over here, its about time clubs started to bring British Players, into their sides, instead of a lot of this foreign muck and alot of them are 3rd/4th/5th rated foreigners. I wouldn't mind our football being average, if at least it was British players providing it, but the money not earnt, by these foreigners are ridiculous for the dross, that is served up every weekend.
By:
some players are happy to sit on bench and earn money
By:
im telling you the only way players will stop earning this crazy money is if fans stop going to the matches
By:
Erm... United had 8 British players tonight.
By:
I agree entirely with Cri****
and just checking. Well said guys. |
By:
some of these players are earning 8 times the average yearly uk wage per week....you would have thought they would spill their guts for that
