"its not about the money, its about the philosophy of the game"

No it is about the money, clubs play percentage football in the Champiionship hoping they will grind their way to the play offs and get the Prem Dosh.
Similarly in the bottom half of the prem, hoping it will keep them in the big bucks league.
The three promoted teams last season all play percentage football.

The footballing authorities seriously need to look at the idea of awarding no points to either side for a nil nil draw. This is an entertainment industry.

Anyone see Brian Lara's masterclass during the lunch break in the test today? He said that he felt that he had to play in an entertaining style. Anything less than that would be shortchanging the fans who had paid a lot of money to watch him. It's high time some of these footballers and managers listened to this type of attitude.

Good reason now to cancel Sky sports, after watching United this afternoon (current champions) we could be in for a long season. At least when I'm watching Gruss for a suspension I'm not subject to woeful displays of finishing and overpaid to$$ers masquerading as footballers.

last week no 0-0 draws the season before no 0-0 draws on opening day last year. if you go back to last season and check how many 0-0 draws there were per week. i know the answer but i will let you check

0-0 aren't the only boring games, you get plenty of high scoring games which aren't worth watching. There are also 0-0 matches which are exciting.

What's going wrong with football this season.  I've backed over 2.5 goals in the 5 matches I've watched so far this season and I've had 2 goalless draws and 3 one nils.  This is awful and that doesn't include the Swansea Europa League game (0-0) and today's Man Utd Wigan (2-0) which I managed to avoid.  In those 5 matches there has hardly been a decent attempt on goal.  I'm fed up of hearing about "all this game is lacking is quality in the final third" when the fact is that is all that really matters.
