What am I missing? Canandian squad seems of a good standard, should have enough to sneak a 1-0?

If I was betting at 1/2 I would expect it to be easier than a 1-0.
The Spanish Benito Floro today became the national coach of the men's Fotball team in Canada with the goal of qualifying for the World Cup in Russia in 2018.
The Football Association of Canada and Floro himself announced their engagement during a press conference in Toronto in which the Spanish coach said he wants the Canadian team to reach its highest level in the next three or four years.
