Me for a long time, was moose10 before that so long time lol. So much so I hardly recognise the majority now, of course you could have a lot of changed usernames.
Just cant handle the hate during the football season in here. People turn into the most vile people on here than Ive seen anywhere across the net. Maybe its better now, but I doubt it |

Also, the banning of milan was plain daft, it was nothing to do with selling anything, links are ok if it doesnt involve trying to rinse money from people |

Fat Face was previously the life banned Nashwan , and FFE was banned too after about 6 months , which must have been late 2009 .He is on Twitter The Forum is much quieter because Betfair stopped allowing new customers joining the forum over a year ago . So the people who are banned/get bored are never replaced anymore. |

Yes it is basically fkd. I worked out - in 2016 - that posting was at 15% of the level of 2010, God knows how low it is now, less than 10% of what it was I expect. What happened was the upgrade that everyone moaned about in May 2010 created a loophole that enabled anyone banned to create another account withing 2 minutes and by August 2012 there were 3 people creating 5 or 6 accounts per hour (as each previous one was banned) and spamming the forum with dozens of idiotic threads at a time. Betfair's solution was to just stop any one joining. This 'temporary' measure lasted for 18 months and so everyone who left or was banned was not replaced. That pretty much halved activity here. When they finally allowed new members to join it was through some interminable process that involves waiting 6 months and then having to send repeated emails requesting posting rights. So bviously hardly anyone bothers with that. The result of all this is that about 2,000 forumites have left and maybe 45 have joined. |

I also think it's still nowhere near as user friendly as it used to be. It took me what felt like 2 minutes to load up the forum. They also ruined it by having two football forums, one for betting and one for "chat", and of course things like twitter are just more accessible on a mobile.
It's a real shame as this forum used to be a hive of chat and help, compared with twitter where it's essentially people chatting to a brick wall most of the time. |

This forum is like one of those derilict, long-since abandoned American Shopping malls that used to be a buzzing hive of activity in its hey day, now all you get is people wondering in now and gain to see what it looks like inside, looking around for a bit before clearing off, needs demolishing IMO, they could try and reinvent it but just like the high street, there's something better on offer these days for most peopl (twitter where most have migrated) and they don't want to, no gambling sites bar this one allows for forums, this forum has basically been in managed decline for some time, it will eventually close down for good.

The forum isn't that accessible is true, but ultimately it's not accessible because it doesn't need to be/they don't want it to be. There's barely any sign ups allowed so it's not like it needs to be plastered over the front page.
They could have solved the issues they had so easily through other ways if they wanted, eg. making only customers who had completed KYC be allowed to join the forum pretty much would solve the spam account stuff immediately and unlike the old days you have to do KYC stuff immediately these days. Forums are generally on the decline which is probably why they don't do anything about it, but they haven't declined anywhere near as much as if they'd just left sign ups open. I would guess usage has more like halved vs 10 years ago, whereas there probably isn't even 5% of the activity 10 years ago here. |

I had lunch with nobbyclarke today and he was most surprised to learn of his death but also touched that anyone remembers him.
