I don't think they will rotate, they've got an important match against the Tahiti President's eleven coming up.......

Tahiti can still qualify ,as long as Spain beat Nigeria.
Just need to beat Uruguay by 6 |

I think there's decent value on Under 8.5 @ 1.89 and 9.5 @ 1.48. Hard to see 9-0 and 10-0, but if Suarez and Cavani click in to gear, who knows. Tahiti also playing their third keeper

Any thoughts on those unders?

This Uruguayan paper seems to think Forlan and Hernandez start up front today, which would make you think high unders are nailed on.
http://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=es&u=http://www.elpais.com.uy/&prev=/search%3Fq%3Duruguay%2Bnewspaper%26biw%3D1093%26bih%3D521 ''Nobody knew the team owner Uruguay's training was delayed, also the technical talk, and that prevented Tabarez confirmed the starting lineup. "Sorry, but no journalist will know about me before a team player," said the coach. Anyway, before the media were removed from the field after witnessing the 15-minute pre-competitive exercises, you could see a group of players standing red vests. There was no archer identified, but presumably will Muslera in goal and the alignment is completed with Aguirregaray, Coates, Godin, Caceres, Eguren and Diego Perez in contention, Nicolas Lodeiro and Gaston Ramirez more advanced, and Diego Forlan offensive Abel Hernandez.'' |

from a uruguayan paper
Martín Silva; Matías Aguirregaray, Sebastián Coates, Andrés Scotti, Álvaro Pereira; Diego Pérez, Sebastián Eguren, Walter Gargano; Nicolás Lodeiro; Gastón Ramírez y Abel Hernández serían los 11 del maestro. basically translates as: starting line-up unknown, but strong rumours in team hotel all morning that there will be a complete rotation. team in bold the rumoured line-up. makes sense. gonna win anyway, why risk suspensions from yellow (cavani) or red (I'm looking at you, luis) cards for the semi? |
By:
Ah it won't be as much of a drubbing so. Think il do Hernandez hatrick
By:
to add, 12.54 their time is 16.54 ours, I think. so, 45 minutes ago.

Ok so we know Uruguay are likely to rotate but what about Tahiti? Unlikely to ever qualify for this again so this is their last match on the big stage. Will their manager show some compassion and give a run out to the guys that haven't played yet? And if so, if they're Tahiti reserves, just how bad will they be?
By:
wouldn't be so sure about them never qualifying again. if you look at their qualifying path this time, all they had to do was beat samoa, the solomons and new caledonia twice.
By:
team news just announced on uruguayan sports radio, but journalist was on a terrible phone and couldn't understand a word of it

Ramirez/Hernandez first goalscorer might be worth a small bet, of course assuming that lineup posted above comes to fruition.
By:
Anyone know what this Hernandez is like? Appears he scored one in sixteen for Palermo, but was perhaps injured?
If he's the focal point, and not some exceptional talent, high unders will surely be nailed on. |
By:
Yes because you need to be special talent to score one on one's against a woeful keeper. lol
If Torres can score a few goals against Tahiti any warm body off the street can score against their defense. |
By:
yeah, but there's a difference between them scoring maybe six regardless who plays, or this Hernandez having the game of his life and helping them to an extra four, Oleg Salenko style

By:
alternatively, second string players have more motivation to make an effort against minnows.
By:
as a side note ,can i just say that if the best 11 players from this forum ...or from any workplace/social club in the entire country - be rest assured that tahiti would give them/us a damned good thrashing along the lines of 20-0 .
as to a lesser margin , america samoa ![]() |

be us not to judge

even that womens team (Belarus?) who lost 32-0 would prob beat a betfair forum 11, tho I think wed nick one.

are there?
By:
I think all 11 have been rotated as suggested above.

viva - stop being obtuse

By:
i've got something they can all rotate on
By:
that's actually a good idea for betfair powers that be, advertise for a betfair 11 to play some future 'charity' or sponsored fixture - it'd give them publicity (not that they need it) and give the entire betfair community something to look forward to..ill play as half back, tho im getting on a bit. We could play a **** 11, theyd probably be known as **** notinplays

bet daq

By:
we could play that blind team from the PP adverts, tony.
By:
100% UNOFFICIAL
Martin Silva; Aguirregaray, Coates, Scotti, Pereira; Perez, Eguren, Gargano, Ramirez, Lodeiro y Abel Hernandez. |

By:
bito could be the subs bench.
By:
Having a different X1 may seem to suggest less goals but surly these players will be even more hungry than the previous X1? Added is Tahiti's 3 matches in a weeek at full international level with non pro fitness levels. Who knows could be goals yet
By:
i think overs were ridiculously priced even with suarez and cavani playing
By:
tony - would the match be in running for the rest of us ?

not too obtuse to dig up the right team news before anyone else, eh coach?

i've played at a faitly high level of football where you get free travel and accomadation on away games, nothing too fancy though
