You're talking about someone here who loved (and probably still does) Tony Hibbert and Phyliss Neville..

I don't understand the game, I've never been able to comprehend the way he grabs hold of the big european games and slices opponent defences open with his passing...just goes completely over my head!

glad to see even oxo,s fan club on here have seen the light,never ever seen him have a decent 90 mins for arsenal or england,

as for the usual football snobs who reel out the usual if you dont understand carrick you dont understand the game, i seem to remember the same loons saying the same about our friend joe allen at l,pool, before even his no 1 fan brenda relagated  him to the stiffs and l,pool went on their best run,it aint rocket science, even joe hart has seen the light ,looks whats in front of him and bombs it 70 yards up the pitch time after time

you're right I do, I know he does it time and time again against the real big boys but I just never understand it when it's there right in front of my eyes, I know it happens though because people on here tell me so...uh hum, between you and me, I think he's one of those unsung hero chappies

every good side has a carrick type. think busquets, alonso and now martinez for bayern. anyone that doesn't rate carrick has a poor understanding of the game.
