If it's value why wouldn't you?

Would you back a 1/1000 at 1.01?

that's the problem. 1.01 is NEVER value.

It is if the probability of winning the bet exceeds 99%.

The draw was 500 and WBA was 1000, so with 1.01 for ManU it's easy for the bots to dutch this.

If you'd backed the last 1000 teams leading by 3 goals with 10 minutes to go @1.01 , you'd be in front by some way i'd expect

1.01 is value sometimes. if a team is 5-0 up with 3 minutes to go you wouldnt back 1.01 if you could get it????

cant comment on today cos i dont know how the game went after half time.

on obscure markets theres sometimes 1.01 up when the event has nearly finished. like in cricket needing 240 to win and theyre 239 for 1. its defo value then! Laugh

It's just a price like any other - sometimes value, sometimes not.

why not? low backing is profitable especially 1.01

Problem with 1.01 backing is usually the stake that people use - too big for their banks.

You couldn't get a 1.01 with 3 min to go even if a strong team had only a 2 goal lead ,let alone 5.This 1.01 value story is as old as Betfair ,and the theory gets debunked daily.Mugs build their banks by backing 1.01s for weeks/months and then get wiped out like today  just to say "very unlucky/fix/mafia"

Weren't England 1.01 on the +3 handicapwhen they beat San Marino 5-0?

If you wouldn't take that 1.01 you need taking behind the barn and being shot in the head Laugh

Usain Bolt to beat me over 100 Metres @ 1.01 is value.

A cliche, and wrong. I never think it is in an in-play situation, as it's impossible to read a situation completely, and football is all about impossible comebacks. Taking other 1.01's, like England winning 8-0 in San Marino, is pure value, as the truth is you shouldn't even be able to bet on it.
