Everton's best side in last 20 years, Arsenal's worst...

Would Arsenal be classed as a 'bogey-side' for Everton?

It's an interesting area of team psychology that.
By:
themover
When: 16 Apr 13 14:23
yes stu, Everton go into the match knowing it can not be done
By:
themover
When: 16 Apr 13 14:25
also not forgetting that Arsenal have these new officials that can spot an infringement against them from a mile, they will be called upon in the unlikely event Everton lead getting close to the final whistle

Arsenal seem very short priced considering Everton have lost only 4 away league matches all season and managed to get a draw at both Man City and Tottenham.

suppose they probably are a bit short, I make it Arsenal 49% Draw 51% Everton 0%

on the face of it it's a big price but moyes has a simply terrible record against the top teams including the largely awful liverpool team of the last 3 years. a real mental block about taking on the big boys

Mafeking LaughLaughLaugh

we have beaten man city twice, man united, Chelsea, spurs twice all in the last 15 months - I bet many other teams wouldn't mind a mental block like that

I'm not saying we wont lose tonight but we have only lost 7 league games out of our last 50, drawing 4-4 at united and 1-1 at city in the last 12 months

you are of course correct toffee, sadly there is no win against Arsenal and that is why tonight's chance of winnung is 0%, I'm surprised Moyes is even putting out the first team...surely would be sensible to rest them for games they can win.

I'm an arsenal fan Wiltshire came back and almost blew the good run without him if jack plays Everton 5.3 is a bargain if he don't not so good

Everton don't win away to teams ranked above them with the exception of Man. city, whom Everton are a bogey side for. I could'nt seriously put anything on them to win here tonight. I would be wanting 6.6 at least to even start thinking about going there.

To have any chance of finishing in the top 4, Everton need to win tonight. So I don't expect the usual type of game - it is effectively like a cup game that they are one down from the first leg!

Losing won't matter, and a draw is no use.

I expect an open game with goals - unless Everton score first then they will try to close the game down and hang on (as usual - it very rarely works btw).

So my main bet is to wait to see if Arsenal score first, then back Everton.

Got Arsenal/Everton in the HT/FT for small stakes at 44. Also, got Osman to score first at 24 for small stake, for a bit of an interest until the first goal is scored.

to be fair arsenal price looking bit short to me. everton seems to be playing well away and dont know the stats but they seems to score in first half quite often then taking to accout that arsenal on paper looking in great form but ,lets be fair as a fan must say we were bit lucky here and tehre recently to get positive results . also arsenal seems be more effective in later stages of the matches, especially against good opposition . i think laying arsenal and  backing us later on.... hope i jinxed early goalCool

Arsenal or Draw really, hope there are lots of goals but wary of Arsenal as 8 games been under 1.5 this season.  Will watch and wait but will start laying 0-0 HT at 20 minutes or so.
