today we have seen an ex Sunderland chairman showing massive bias commentating on a Sunderland match, followed by an ex player who spent over 10 years at man u supporting on a man u match. surely they have enough people on their books not to show blatant favoritism in their football coverage.
If I was Sky I'd more worried about losing subscriptions for Sky Sports due the the standard of football being screened each week. This season with a few exceptions has been dire and with the amount of money going up next season (cue SSports rise) they will be in danger of losing their audience.

The general lack of quality commentators and pundits is startling when compared to other sports such as cricket. Sky no better or worse than BBC or ITV. I couldn't name more than a handful of decent ones.
I'm more annoyed at sky for their scheduling and match choices in recent weeks which have been shocking (including for Spanish games). They should be pulling out all the aces to see off imminent competition from BT yet they've been poor recently.

They are always going on about the PL being "the league of late goals". I can't believe there are more late goals in the PL than in other leagues! The other one that they were spouting on about until recently is that the title race will definitely "go to the wire".

Half the PL starts out games trying not to concede and try and steal a goal because being relegated is now so costly the emphasis is on not to lose.
That why FIFA need to offer more reward for a win. In Rugby they offer a extra point rewarded if a team scores a number of tries but not sure how many.

agree 100%
i wonder if that is because cricket attracts people with more understanding of their game, that need to find a career after playing, whereas..... most footballers struggle with speaking about the game, and those with that ability have the lure of management.... which is better paid (usually) than football punditry

well yes that is also true, i was meaning more engerland internationals, it would be nice to get a balanced view for some of the bigger games we play
our local radio splits coverage for derby games, sunderland bias on one commentary, and newcastle bias on the other, also happens for games involving middlesboro
i dont get the need for it all
