Anyone have any stats on percentage of matches where there is a goal in 90 minutes plus.

I like to play draws multiples sometimes, most bets where I was stuffed yesterday was where there were goals in extra time.

The thing that gets me is the market always seems to know, draw was still trading at 1.2 in one match in the last 2 minutes of 4 extra, I usually put in a short trade but was fuming yesterday, when the market suspended in one match and around 88 minutes and never re-opened until the 93rd minute after a goal.

When I was a you never got late goals, teams kn ew how to shut up shop.

Most of these goals seem fabricated, Late Penalties, Own Goals rifled in or Free Kicks on the edge of the box and a flapping keeper.!!!

Thanks for the Info El

I threw a few quid at laying the team leading at 1.05 the other day, entering extra time and won something I might try more often.

@The chaser: Me too Red cards are phenomenal in Italy, refs dish em out in the first few minutes, easy way to sort a result out, with few arguments if you ask me, teams often settle for a draw straight away, so I dont mind them too much.

Benfica always seem to get late goals but last night when I wanted one they contrived to fluff every chance they had! ! find that the German, Portuguese and Spanish leagues seem to have late goals as they keep pushing until the end not like boring United who will settle for a 1-0 win. For example last week Bayern with the league effectively sewn up smash in 9 goals you wont get United doing that and I guess that why the German crowds are bigger and more vocal.

I am going to try and throw a few quid at this from now on in matches where there is a healthy market.

The other thing I have noticed is that most results go to form in the normal fixture program, but the most shocks seem to come in the equivalent of Monday night matches where its a one off you will often see the top of the league team get beat or draw to lower placed opposition. Sometimes be behind and get a late late equalizer.

I need one also and watched the last 5-10 mins and it was soul destroying , nothing happened at all.

@ TheChaser

Normally they get a dodgy penalty and I have normally been relying on that to round off the weekend but that would have been an extra £550 should have greened for a profit rather than flat.

Kenilworth

The total is for the 90min + IT.

The number of goals scored in the 90th minute+ has rapidly increased over the last 20 years.
Obviously this can be accounted for by the increased amount of injury time played over the same time period.

This season there's been 61 90+min goals but only 3 in the 89th min.

One thing about these bets they are pretty instantaneous like betting in 5F sprints on the nags.

Odds are good too.

Statistically I expect late goals have increased over the past few years, especially since refs were given instructions to give more penalties, and award more cards to add to the drama. Players get free kicks and yellow carded for anything these days compared to 20 years ago, and some of the penalties are a joke.
Report kenilworth April 10, 2013 8:46 AM BST
Looking at the clock, the 90th minute starts when it shows
89.00 so in a match where, say there is 3 mins of added time,
unless the ref adds anything more on, the match should end when
the clock hits 93.00, and that means the 90th min covers 4 minutes
of play, quite significant when betting.
Report Tonyface April 10, 2013 8:55 AM BST
You are right Kenilworth sometimes you may get 6 minutes of play, however from around 88 mins that is when the odds start to sky rocket against the Status Quo scoreline, that is why I am suggesting it is a value bet.
Report kenilworth April 10, 2013 8:59 AM BST
I tend to back 'no more goals' depending on what
is happening, and the betting is right, and NEVER
bet a goal to be scored. Burnt fingers from time
to time, but overall, I think I do ok.
Report DetectiveDavidMills April 10, 2013 10:55 AM BST
lay correct score at even money usually anywhere around 70-75 minutes. You'll show a profit if you are disciplined and stick to it

Detective, you are saying lay the prevailinng score
at evens between 70 and 75 mins?
I'm more likely to back but other factors involved.
Report Ell April 11, 2013 3:41 PM BST
Using stats from the last 4 seasons i'd be a layer at Evs in the 70th minute and be looking to back at Evs 75 minutes onwards.

Certainly wouldn't recommend doing it blindly.
Report kenilworth April 11, 2013 7:59 PM BST
Laying 1/1 on 70 mins would get you about 3 bets a year!
