It will put a good bit towards a deposit. I've been saving this long while now and another 10K is a major step towards getting the house.

The only reason I started the challenge was because I've been doing well on a regular basis. I wouldn't have done it otherwise.

I gradually put more money on over 1.5 until €1'000 was matched. Then HT came in, and as in most big games a lot of money comes in at HT. €32'000 came in laying over 1.5 at 1.30 and that's where I matched the rest of my money.

Good stuff. The Colombia game he lost a grand on though shows how much luck is involved, and the injury time goal he had at the start. Made the correct decision withdrawing the lot, very unlikely he'll ever replicate this.

Postscript to this is that if I recall correctly, he tried a very similar challenge a short while later and went out in either the first or second bet. So it shows you the margins at stake.
