Steve McClaren`s time in Wolfsburg was pretty funny.

He promised the players/fans that he would learn the language but after 6 months in the country all he could say was "wunderbar".

I don`t think any Bundesliga club will bother themselves with an English manager in the foreseeable future.

Woodgate wasn`t able to talk to Spanish media in Spanish - just in English.

tbf English is a generic language

i think most foreign kids in France,Spain can speak English these days

tbf, toshack didn't go over as a player, and his spanish is okay but not exactly stellar given the amount of time he was over there.

that was one of the reasons david platt kept going for big money in italy; he learnt the language and fitted in quickly.

...in fact, the first clip i found of him speaking spanish was on a football chat show where everyone including him was having a laugh about how p!ss-poor he was at it.

Keegan`s deutsch is really bad so can`t put him on the list although he is at least trying so fair play.

Lineker seems to have basic Spanish with a really broad accent, yeah count him in. We have three (3) now.
