Because as your keeper has said they are playing the best footy in the country. Spurs have had a lot of luck to be where they are, and their goal difference suggests a lot of tight wins. Liverpool are purring like a super charged Bentley GT and are on the brink fo greatness once more. Suarez is the best player in the league and with Couthino & Sturridge with Lucas & Gerrard behind there is ammunition aplenty and they are scoring goals for fun.

Spurs are Spurs, mediocre. One man team really and keep Bale quiet (no easy taks granted) and their is not a lot else up top with Defoe injured.

is this the same Liverpool that lost at home to West Brom and Aston Villa or is it the ones from Montevideo coming over? Confused

12 points ahead of a very average Liverpool team yet Pool are heavy favourites.  I'm a little bit confused.  Confused

After the start we had it's not surprising.

But you are deluding yourself if you think the Liverpool team is now average after only lacking support for King Louis and getting it.

The odds tell it as it is. A class home side ona roll v a determined, but limited & lucky Spuds.

3-1.

It's the same Liverpool which drew at City, Arsenal and Chelsea!! But lost to Oldham...Basically if it's a big game you don't want to get involved with match odds until someone scores.

Pool do seem to raise their game against their superiors but the odds still look very poor to me.   Hope this thread doesn't come back to bite me. Shocked

Too short as ever at home but Spurs Europa League game tonight will be a factor.

We also outplayed Spurs at the Lane tbf.

Betfair don't payout on who outplays who I'm afraid.

Spurs have won more games away than Liverpool have at home.

Liverpool havn't beat a side in the top half of the table yet! Spurs have a tough run of games but are still pushing for Europe while Liverpools seasons over.

Apart from Swansea ltg?

Can't argue with that Berto. We are always too short, so pointless arguing otherwise. I do think we are bit closer to spurs than the table suggests mind.

Yeah that stat was from a few weeks back. Liverpool at home against a big side are very unpredictable.

Liverpool at home against anyone are very unpredictable. Although that tide seems to be turning a little.

Liverpool may well win, everyone knows they are hit and miss, but let's not pretend they've turned a corner and are the new invincibles.

3 games ago you lost at home to West Brom!! A 2 game winning streak against Swansea reserves and a hapless Wigan side and you class that as being 'on a roll'. Are you Brendan Rodgers?

Also ironic that you label Spurs a mediocre, one man team. Most people would class Liverpool as exactly that.

Its a starting point, lets say bale gets injured tonight, which is distinct possibility, and misses the game spurs odds would be bigger

the fact they are playing cup tie against top opposition three days before and also liverpool latest home form and form in general is pretty good scored plenty conceeded few

I think the price is posibly a little short, but I would have thought they would have been 2.0

Spurs had a terrible start to the season too, many seem to forget that, but are unbeaten in their last 12 league games.
I have Liverpool at 2.3 to win this, 1.9 is a joke of a price given Spurs are a better side away from home and have won more away than Liverpool have at home.

Agree with that CCM.  On current form I'd say the two teams were fairly evenly matched, the main difference being Spurs ability to win when playing below their best at times (a very welcome trait or any team) and Liverpool failing to convert good performances into points against top teams.  It should be a cracking game.

By:

And therein lies the problem, Spurs are better on the road than both of those 2 sides. Only United have won and scored more away from home than Spurs.

Its not the most attractive price in the world but then bookmakers dont give much away

Anybody pricing this up based on our form pre-Sturridge and Coutinho's arrivals - assuming both feature - is going to get a bit of a shock, IMHO.

I think it should be a good game, and if you betteing then laying liverpool is a fair way to go, you have  ateam who are in form above them in the table and that gives you the insurance of the draw

That said I think it may well be liverpools second biggest winning margin of the season but I could be wrong good luck though
By:

Fair point Latalomne, they've certainly both made a promising start.  I still think Liverpool are short unless Bale gets injured tonight.

If Liverpool play there best they win. If Spurs score a fluke goal or a wonder goal from Bale they may get a draw. Odds sound right to me.

Perfect game for Spurs, keep Suarez quiet, soak up pressure and kill them on the break.

Bale running at Carragher could put him into early retirement

It's true what they say.  Liverpool fans are the most delusional in world football.   Liverpool have a horrible recent record against Spurs.

Albeit against the Swansea reserves and a Wigan side who lose almost all of theit home games.
