I took what I could and have donked it off now, holding a 1.7 avg bet on Liverpool, very confident on collecting Where on earth did you get odds of over 1.7 on liverpool? |
By:
Big trade on Pool, back 1.5x, lay 2/3rds off 1.4x, so avg back 1.7x.
By:
Yes biscuit I wondered that myself given on BF graph is max 1.6
By:
Liverpool have traded at a high of 1.69 for pennies.
By:
Surprised none of you have heard of average prices post hedging trades.
By:
And that somehow makes sense to you?

Aside from Biscuit and a few others this forum is full of utter clowns.
By:
You might have to put me in the 'utter clown' gang today then. Maybe it's just me but if you take them at 1.5x and lay it off at 1.4x how is that an average price of 1.7.
In my world taking them at 1.8 and topping up at 1.6 would be an avg of 1.7. Unless you're on a wind up, i'm confused ![]() |
By:
when you look at potential profit to stake placed he's looking at a bet at odds of 1.7.
By:
very obvious what RMB is saying. disagree with him on saying Liverpool are a genuine 1.4x shot but can't argue with his trading
put it simply for those who don't understand: If you put £100 on at 1.58 and lay to win £50 at 1.48 then your position is +£34, -£50, hence average 1.7 |
By:
Ah, now i get it
![]() |
By:
Say you have £100 on a horse at 6.0, potential profit/loss = £500 (£100) .:. average price (profit to loss ratio) = 6.0
If you lay £50 off at 4.0 IR, potential profit/loss = £350 (£50) .:. average price (profit to loss ratio) = 8.0 |
By:
ha ha , when i saw 1.41 Liverpool i assumed the game had kicked off and they were 1-0 up
By:
that would be 1.68 sorry ^ but you get my point all the same
By:
But by that attempt at maths of course if he does a complete trade for £(decent money - 1p) for a free bet then he is approaching near infinite average odds.
Which is just ridiculous. He has a free bet + a bet. That's what he has. He may be trolling by calling people clowns, or maybe he really just IS that stupid with inflated sense of his own IQ. |
By:
Cheers cnman. It's a funny game sports betting, all down to conjecture, for some a genuine 1.4x shot might be 1.8x, just hope we all come up with more money in the bank when the dust settles!
By:
yep agreed. I won't begrudge you a Liverpool win as long as Swansea go 1-0 up first. I may only get 1.6 to trade out though going by the market

Big lay of Liverpool...Got 0-1 and 1-2 @ 28 and 34 as well..it's great all these Liverpool fans hold down the true price of the team, Big profits have been had laying them at home over the last couple of seasons
