How are KR doing? They play my side (Glentoran) in this weeks Europa League.
I noticed football in Iceland has went downhill over the past couple of years, is that because the League went amateur? http://kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/bert/uefa/plots.html Are there any professional sides/ players in Iceland? Just curious, we played KR a few seasons ago and we lost 3-0 in Reykjavik and drew 2-2 in Belfast. |

I'd agree, the Icelandic league is definitely better than the NI league. Ovalman - your side have a tough game on their hands as KR are currently the best side in Iceland. They have a couple of players (Gunnarsson and Gudjonsson) who've played for Stoke. Gunnarson also spent a few years at Reading until he was let go this year.
As for pro's, i'm not sure how many Iceland currently has, most players there have part time jobs but IBV have David James in goal, he's their player coach and Herman Hreidarsson is their player manager. |

I'd have fancied our chances but we've lost 2 of our best players to our biggest rivals and we'll struggle up front and in defence. A few other semi decent players have left the club as well. We are pretty much an amateur side now, several years ago over half our team were on pro terms.
We're not match fit either and only have 2 friendlies under our belt, I think this will be our biggest weakness. I can see another 3-0 defeat coming. The winners of the tie play Standard Liege, I've booked flights to Brussels in the hope we get through, looks like I'll have 4 days drinking Belgian beer instead  |

Be careful with the Icelandic u19 games tonight. One of the games is potentially voidable by someone trying to claw back losses.

The Jarve game in estonia was 5-0 btw. 365 have a game between Rocester (tiny pub team) against Stafford Rangers, its 0-5 to Stafford after 35 mins yet they're offering 9/4 o5.5 first half goals. That's got to be worth a tickle.
