Call all cheats cheats then. That is the point.
By:
so roy keane broke no rules with his tackle on haland ??
lol, you've lost the plot |
By:
I am saying that he didnt cheat.
By:
well you can say that,
you are wrong imo, but obviously you are entitled to your opinion |
By:
No I am right. He didnt cheat to keep Uraguay in the world cup. Simple facts son.
By:
By:
He took one for his country, a nobler act you will rarely find IMO
By:
so it wasnt a pelanty, and he didnt get sent off
and was rested from the semi final cos he wasnt really banned for cheating |
By:
It was a penalty and he did get sent off.
In what way did he cheat? He played the rules as any player with half a brain would have. Is taking down a player when through on goal cheating in your opinion? |
By:
if its on purpose then of course it is
thats why fifa brought in rules over the years to try to prevent it is spitting ok if the player doesnt get caught, or just gets sent off ? |
By:
how about players kicking the crowd, thats a sending off too, but not breaking any rules as there is a punishment for it
what about match fixing, do you condone that too ? |
By:
It is not cheating though that is the point.
Spitting on someone is not cheating at all. So you know what cheating even means? |
By:
i'd love to hear your definition of cheating
mine is any breach of a rule ..... |
By:
So you class an unintentional late tackle as someone cheating?
By:
Donny, you appear to have gone off on one here
Do you really think punching a ball into the net a la Maradona is the same as a player on the line stopping a goal? |
By:
some fouls are accidental, so not cheating
go on , define cheating , you've lost the plot |
By:
He didnt cheat or try to con anyone he blatantly commited a foul and knew he would get sent off.
That is not cheating. |
By:
Suarez apologists tying themselves in knots here
![]() |
By:
suarez saving that goal, and his post match interview explains his mind set
.......that he punched one in yesterday, is the same, |
By:
Any player that doesnt hand the ball the way he did in the world cup is a mug.
By:
You're saying he punched one in yesterday when it is widely acknowledged that it was accidental, so I can only conclude you're on the wind up or something, you said you wanna highlight bad reffing, so why are you moaning about a handball at a world cup years ago?
By:
widely acknowledged by his apologists
By:
To cheat you act dishonestly, he didnt do that at the World Cup. He knew exactly what he was doing and played the rules to his teams advantage.
By:
cheating is trying to gain an advantage whilst breaking the rules and getting away with it,suarez never did that yesterday,it was accidental hitting his hand.

Cheating refers to an immoral way of achieving a goal. It is generally used for the breaking of rules to gain advantage in a competitive situation. Cheating is the getting of reward for ability by dishonest means. This broad definition will necessarily include acts of bribery, cronyism, sleaze, nepotism and any situation where individuals are given preference using inappropriate criteria.[Medical Education 1] The rules infringed may be explicit, or they may be from an unwritten code of conduct based on morality, ethics or custom, making the identification of cheating a subjective process. Cheating can refer specifically to marital infidelity. Someone who is known for cheating is referred to as a cheat in British English, and a cheater in American English. A "cheat" does not have to cheat all the time, but once faced with a challenge that they do actually want to win, they will go back to their cheating strategies
By:
Your post proves it all.
To cheat you act dishonsetly which was not the case at the World Cup. |
By:
Next they will be saying Lance Armstrong is clean ffs

By:
apologists must be some sort of buzz word lately , seeing it everywhere!
You got a bee in your bonnet about cheating for some reason, you seem offended by any minimal breaking of rules and conclude everything is cheating, there is no in between, Newcastle will not be relegated,I hope that might perk you up a bit. |
By:
Difference between cheating and playing the rules.
Is someone taking down a player through on goal a cheat? |
By:
Cheat is a very strong word Donny you dont just start branding every player in the PL a cheat because they may have clipped someones heel and broke the rules, maybe mistime a tackle, unintentional handball etc etc..cheat cheat cheaters the lot of em!
By:
minimal breaking of rules

Donny is classing breaking a rule to gain an advantage as cheating.
If that is the case there would be 22 cheats on the pitch every week. They all push the rules. |
By:
Donny are all these situations players cheating?
1. Bringing down a player when opposition on the break 2. Not admitting when offside 3. Goalkeeper booked for time waisting. |
By:
Cant answer as you know your point of breaking a rule to get an advantage is clearly different to cheating.
By:
i have answered , see above
By:
None so hypocritical as football as football fans at times.
A game full of rule bending by players and a few high profile managers, game of few rules and less of a sport these days. As for Suarez, would he get this kind of attention if he were English,or a Man Utd player,no,of course not. Along with RVP and Aguero, this guy is a class above any other matchwinner in the prem, shame he is not a bag of sh1te and the manu fans would be able to deal with these things and move on. |
By:
You have not answered.
Simple yes or no will do for each - 1. Bringing down a player when opposition on the break 2. Not admitting when offside 3. Goalkeeper booked for time waisting. |
By:
Ref says it wasn't a deliberate hand ball, nuff said.
By:
to clarify then .....
1...if deliberate yes 2...does he know he is offside, if he is certain he is offside they dont go for the ball, not sure admitting to being offside is part of the game 3...yep cheating |
