an other thing, I've been done often on is betting against teams who are 'injury ravaged'. Most recently, I posted 2 weeks ago about Bristol Rovers only having 9 first-teamers to select from in their home game a week or two ago : they only went and scored 4, winning their first game in 3 months

I looked at Donny's last four line-ups, and they made eight changes from what appeared their strongest eleven tonight, including, as someone mentioned, four eighteen year olds, so they WERE significantly weakened.
As I also said though I don't know these sides well enough to have a big bet, and someone said that Crewe left out their three best players? If this was a higher level game, the home team would of done the business, but I agree with whomever said it's more difficult lower down. |

Crewe left out Martin who has been their first choice keeper all season and played Phillips (who would have been first choice without injury). Luke Murphy, Crewe's captain, centre midfielder and best player was rested, as was Byron Moore, Crewe's best winger, and Mark Ellis, who is Crewe's best defender.
Dugdale and Clayton are fringe players that you would expect to come in and do a job, and Inman who replaced Murphy was making his first team debut, he is loan from Newcastle. I think Doncaster have probably got a much bigger squad than Crewe, and to be fair I think only two of Doncaster's lineup would be considered as non first-team. |
