quite a possibility tonights game at crewe wont take place as donny are down to 6 1st team players due to report in yorkshire post. Apparently may struggle to field 11 including youth team players. Dean saunders even advising fans not to travel as they dont want to witness a thrashing.

the ol ****s fat **** have the markets all suspended. wont be any bets on this probably
Markets still up, not sure what to do. Maybe take Crewe and cash out if Doncaster's team is OK.
done that also looking at oddschecker for handicap bets etc
Is this a Johnstone's Paints Trophy game? Methinks, a bit of smoke and mirrors going on.
Looking at the graph, we are a bit late to the party (but thanks to diplomat all the same).
I think the quote from Saunders about warning fans to stay away is telling. Layed Donny for £100 liability, will go away and do research so I can determine how good both line-ups are, cash-out if it's a no-go. If whats being said is true this kind of situation is usually free cash for all.
I think the Pi ss-Pot Trophy is the last thing Saunders wants when his side is poised for a return to the Championship. Looks like Crewe have more interest in the competition, although they will have to bounce back from a tepid display against League 2 Burton last Saturday.
Just saw Saunders walking into the local Ladbrokes with £50k cash in his hand.................don't believe the lying b*stard!!!
Donny: Woods husband martis brown blake Cotterill Wakefield griffin clingan Meade middleton
Against Oldham was: Woods,Quinn,Husband, Martis, Jones , Spurr, Syers, Clingan,Keegan, Brown, Blake
I'm out for a small free bet on Crewe.

don't know if the welsh windbag is playing mind games, but going with crewe on the premise the tin pot trophy isn't worth a monkeys to donny over fighting for promotion.
This is what appears to be Donny's strongest line-up: Woods, Jones, Spurr, Quinn, Harper, Cotteril, Woods, Keegan, Husband, Hume, Paynter
Tonights line-up:
And Crewe's strongest: Martin, Ellis, Robertson, Tootle, Davis, Osman, Murphy, Aneke, Moore, Dalla Valle, Pogba
Tonight: Woods husband martins brown blake Cotterill Wakefield griffin clingan Meade middleton
I don't know the teams well enough to have a decent bet, but it's defintely worth a small go.

Messed that up. Eight changes for Donny, only three for Crewe.

you obviously haven't seen some of the "half the team is out with flu" threads on various scottish and lower league games. the price always moves way too much to be value, and the replacements at that level are often not much worse than the usual starters

Cheers for that, CJ
I cashed out of the £100 lay and just had a tenner on the DNB.

Good stuff. Hope other forumites had more on than myself.
what the feck is forumite I felt sh1t all day I think i may have it already.
the OP was talking sh1te anyway, did ya see the team that was put out.
OP wasn't talking shyte, he was pretty much quoting the newspaper report. Donny's own twitter feed said 'virus hit team' but there seem to have been less changes than expected.

What about what JC said?
Donny have got 4 18 year olds starting, and more with subs. Crewe have rested their keeper and best 3 outfield players. Crewe have hot the woodwork twice in the second half.
Doncaster equalise last kick of game - straight to pens
f ucking idiots get a man sent off then give away a goal minutes from time - f ucking morons
sick boom - Donc are nasty , they've done me with impossibly late equalisers at least once before.
an other thing, I've been done often on is betting against teams who are 'injury ravaged'. Most recently, I posted 2 weeks ago about Bristol Rovers only having 9 first-teamers to select from in their home game a week or two ago : they only went and scored 4, winning their first game in 3 months
oh well coventry pulled back to 1-1 as well so i was f ucked anyway

Sickening read and they score secons after it gets posted.
I had planned on betting Olympiakos & Dortmund.Ended up going in on Crewe and a btts double on Dortmund and Arsenal. With 5 mins to go I went to bet Doncaster next goal and the market suspends on Hills never to reopen, FML.
they go and win the pens then just 2 wind evry1 up lol
Crewe won 5-3 on pens. Not sure if that counts for my Crewe -1
i would say............................................................................
I looked at Donny's last four line-ups, and they made eight changes from what appeared their strongest eleven tonight, including, as someone mentioned, four eighteen year olds, so they WERE significantly weakened.
As I also said though I don't know these sides well enough to have a big bet, and someone said that Crewe left out their three best players?
If this was a higher level game, the home team would of done the business, but I agree with whomever said it's more difficult lower down.

Crewe left out Martin who has been their first choice keeper all season and played Phillips (who would have been first choice without injury). Luke Murphy, Crewe's captain, centre midfielder and best player was rested, as was Byron Moore, Crewe's best winger, and Mark Ellis, who is Crewe's best defender.
Dugdale and Clayton are fringe players that you would expect to come in and do a job, and Inman who replaced Murphy was making his first team debut, he is loan from Newcastle.
I think Doncaster have probably got a much bigger squad than Crewe, and to be fair I think only two of Doncaster's lineup would be considered as non first-team.
