Must admit I like the look of overs also.Last 3 meetings between them have been 4-0,2-2 and 2-3.

Maybe I'm not giving Sunderland enough credit, but won't they just park the bus and hope for a lucky break? Do West Brom have enough football in them to break down a tight defense?
|
|
By:
Given their league position and playing at home I would expect Sunderland to be the attacking side, and West Brom looking to hit them on the counter.
|
|
By:
Lot depends on the ref - half of Sunderlands ten PL goals have been scored against teams that were playing a man short.

By:
a real test of west brom today - win and they really have proven themselves to me and will be a great chance of top 6 at least

But given West Brom's league position, Sunderland surely feel that the onus is on the visitors to create something. Why would Sunderland play into West Brom's cards by taking the initiative and leaving themselves exposed at the back? I don't watch these teams very often, but don't West Brom generally prefer to counter-attack rather than take the game to their opponents?

By:
lol,True, but they showed against Fulham they are capable of it.

I'm fancying a lay of Sunderland and seeing where it stands at HT. Thinking 0-0 or 0-1
|
|
By:
0-0 for me, not my usual play but cannot see an open game here.
|
|
By:
West Brom do prefer to counter yes,but then are you saying that Sunerland are going to park the bus for every home game for the rest of the season ?
Martin O'neal doesn't really strike me as a manager who's team talk will consist of "Park the Bus,We'll take 0-0". |

3 shots on target at home in August, Sept, Oct and most of November suggests a defensive strategy

ANYONE BETTING ON THIS BASED ON THEIR FULHAM 1-3 WIN LAST WEEK SHOULD THINK AGAIN ... AT HOME THEY ARE HORRIBLE AND CAN'T HIT A BARN DOOR. ALL THE MONEY GOING TOWARDS THE UNDER AND RIGHTLY SO
|
|
By:
Well I can't really argue with that stat.Maybe I've read this game totally wrong,We'll see.

gone for 9ts or more on bookings just over 2/1

Went for 'Highest-scoring half - second half' @ 2.05 (bookie). I'm obviously hoping for an exciting 90 minutes of football, but West Brom have only scored one goal in the first half this season (two, if you count own goals) and Sunderland won't be too upset if the first half ends scoreless, either.

Read this morning that Asamoah Gyan has scored 39 goals in 27 games for his club in the UAE since leaving Sunderland. Wonder if he regrets leaving?
