nationalise a decent keeper imo, best move ever
Report the dza November 14, 2012 10:16 PM GMT
It was a fantastic goal.

Didn't Trevor Sinclair do an overhead volley from outside the box? For QPR.
Report larrence November 14, 2012 10:16 PM GMT
kenny everett would be the ideal england keeper, with the big hands. Grin

George Tawlon Manneh Oppong Ousman Weah.
In 1995 he was named European Footballer of the Year and FIFA World Player of the Year.
Weah also became famous at Milan for scoring a wonder goal against Verona at the San Siro.

How can it be a fluke, if he meant it???
Report The Bhoys November 15, 2012 9:05 AM GMT
simply incredible strike IBA
Report wooky November 15, 2012 9:12 AM GMT
most strikers 'mean it' when they strike the ball and it hits the crossbar or gets tipped out by the goalkeepers fingertip or flys over the goals by 10 metres etc. Most goals are flukes or lucky shots, if it was pure skill then these guys would be scoring 10 or more goals a game through their sheer skill.
Report The Bhoys November 15, 2012 9:16 AM GMT
wooky that was skill last night
Report 1st time poster November 15, 2012 5:13 PM GMT

I'm no football pundit but a goal scored in that  manner surely has a boot it and see element?  It was very skilful but IMO not compared to a weaving run from the hw line like Ryan Giggs did once. Although this criteria would depend on the opposition
Report OldGold November 17, 2012 9:53 AM GMT
Rooney's goal was technically harder as it was a faster ball crossed in and he still overhead kicked it in.  If you discredit it because he 'shinned it' you are clueless.
Report Rich1965 November 17, 2012 9:58 AM GMT
there was a better one than that in the Champions league a few years back. overhead from outside the box with the keeper IN the goal.
Report jin_kazz November 17, 2012 10:18 AM GMT
just a lucky shot

good goal but not the best
Report the dza November 17, 2012 10:25 AM GMT
There have been so many great goals, I couldn't pick just one.

Henry's goal v Man Utd was one that just left me stunned as it happened, an unbelievable goal:

Technically a far superior goal, i agree Rich.

Lads, Tony Yeboah got two for Leeds one year better than this.

Hagi beats that goal 3/4 times in this clip, best collection of goals from one player ever.

I think one goal!!! was inside the area, legend.
