Joe Allen isnt good enough to get on the ball and progress the game forward, so Gerrard drops deep to try and get on the ball when he should be up supporting Suarez.
The result is that any time Suarez gets on the ball or gets in the box he is totally isolated as Gerrard is nowhere to be seen. Rodgers either needs to tell Gerrard to stay up the park or take Allen off, drop Gerrard deeper and have Suso or someone playing off Suarez. That midfield is a shambles. |
