I backed them top 3 in a 5 fold pre season which will win me a life changing amount but how bad to City look. As soon as Mancini signed Rodwell and Sinclair i'd of sacked him. They look dreadful. Absolutely murdered by both Dortmund and Ajax. Mancini has spent a fooking fortune and this is the best he can do

They will be in the top 3 correct but they still look fooking awful. Give any other manager that amount of money and they'd better this current city team

I'm sure Rodwell and Sinclair were only signed so City could keep up their quota of the homegrown players rule

I was at the match today boys, True we were shockingly bad but I'm taking comfort in the fact we are still winning games. We are also better off for points compared to the same games last season. In Europe I must admit we look like complete amateurs all although it was nice to get to "the dam" again

Probably true biscuit but even them aside they look terrible. They look like a team spent on money and not passion to me. You can't buy passion. I agree ked78 you are still winning games but lets be honest Swansea should of got something out of todays game. If this is the best you can put out after spending that much money its time to give in. I know Mancini has won the premier league but surely its time to fook him off

I agree they aren't at their best at the moment but they are unbeaten in the league and haven't won (yet) against the champions of Spain, Germany and Holland. That group was always going to be a tough one and a group any team not in top form would struggle in.

get rid of Mancini? are you mad? I've seen enough managers at City to last me a lifetime so I'll stick with the one that has won a couple of trophies after decades thanks Happy

Agreed they are unbeaten in the league and you have to commend that but come on they haven't half struggled in a lot of games this season. Gareth Barry, James Milner Joleon Lescott etc.... you have to spend better than that

don't think Mancini bought any of them

You can have as much money as you like but at the end of the day you can only have 11 players on the pitch. There's no profit in football for these money men - why do they get involved? Chelsea 1 billion spent so they've won a European Cup and a few titles but they are hardly seen as the bastion of football. Anzhi £250 million - awful team. Zenit they spent 40 million on Hulk alone? Laugh You can spend as much money as you like but you can't buy what Barca have made for example.

i think city have to many average players to be considerd a top team. for me joe hart is not as good as everyone thinks. lescott is defo not brilliant. barry, milner and dzecko r distincaly average to. and richards and zabaleta r shcoking

Completely agree hamster dam but after spending that amount of money you would expect to see a better outfit that man city

I still can't understand the obsession with City's spending, we are bought by a filthy rich owner and are still expected to buy players on par with Tony Scully, Lee Bradbury, Jamie Pollock and Neil Heaney. Other clubs are benefiting from our wealth as we pay well over the odds, Joleon Lescott £24,000,000 Jack Rodwell nearly £20,000,000. Everton don't seem to mind City's spending do they?

Bhoys, spot on. Very average players but why are they still there? Everyone can see they aren't up to it

they were also there last season when they won the league. If City had sold them and spent another £200m on new players you'd be up in arms about that Laugh

Im not knocking city's spending money or any other rich team when its well spent but city's money spent is an absolute travesty

Well put it this way mover they will never conquer europe with Lescott, Milner, Clichy, Kolarov, Barry, Richards, Dzeko, Balotelli etc why can't mancini see this. City play too narrow. They don't have  a single winger in their squad

Zabaleta shocking? One of the best defensive full-backs in the league ...

Listen pal i watch Everton regularly and Rodwell couldn't get a game so don't start with this. Sinclair looked pretty good for SWANSEA thats what he is, an average teams winger
By:

so they're squad players, I think Rodwell as played a couple of 90 minutes and Sinclair probably none

Yes they are. Squad players for Everton and Swansea not a team that wants to win the champions league

you're right, I think Garcia and Maicon were bought in with a view to the CL, they're both injured

Zabaleta has played over 100 matches for City, and 20 odd for Argentina now so I don't think he can be that bad, especially for £6m Silly
By:
Biscuit1979
When: 27 Oct 12 23:30
Zabaleta is decent, sort of player that will never let you down. City could do a lot worse than play him at right back and move Richards into the middle because almost every time i've watched City lately, Lescott has been awful.

Talk of their demise is a bit much though, they are champions and currently unbeaten in the league.
