How will future historians judge these two historical events.
My opinion is that the Tommie Smith and John Carlos protest,although it was a very powerful image,
I'm afraid these two are not in the same league as the Ferdinands when it comes to fighting racism.
Their refusal to were those T-shirts will be insperational to a generation of black people.

yeah had one of them remembered his gloves and they didnt have to share a pair that iconic salute would be ever so different

had rio not forgotten his drugs test he would be a more credible leader of the black players union
