When It's 0-0 why do BF feel the need to suspend everything.....

This is very reminiscent of the Ukraine game at the Euros. Limited opponents, poor performance, Rooney dreadful yet scores a scruffy goal to put us 1 up.

Ref has mixed in a few odd decisions here. Wonder if we see a serious dubious decision at some point.

A couple of goals against the worst international team in the world and a fluke goal off his shoulder will keep Rooney in the team.
Get rid of him and we'd look a better all round side IMO. |

I know we're not very good but i can't believe some are calling this the worst England side ever. Come on, the early 90s were an absolute shocker. We used to have the likes of Geoff Thomas, Carlton Palmer, Andy Sinton, Brian Deane and Stuart Ripley winning caps.
In fact if someone compiled a list of the worst ever England players in history i reckon most would come from 91-95 when we were utter sh*te |

Roy looks like he's giving out a lot of inspiration to the players

Shelvey wudnt be considered if he was living in Antigua and Berbuda by their national coach

I thought I agreed with you Biscuit (I posted something similar earlier) then I looked at the teams picked during that period. Despite the duffers you rightly listed, the available players were pretty good. Most of the '90 World Cup team, plus the likes of Shearer, Sheringham, Ferdinand, Wright, Ince, Adams etc. there were players then, as now, who got cheap caps in friendlies but I think our poor performance was more due to bad management.

next goal pls.....

i started follwing england in 96 this is the worst team ive ever seen McLarens team in 2008 failed to even qualify, this one will top the group |

Pallister got quite a few games.
Injuries to Gazza also played a big part at that time. |
|
By:
that was mclarens fault
we had good players he didnt have to start foster did he |
|
By:
"91-95"
You need to balance the duffers with Gazza, Shearer, Platt etc. Injured periodically, but much better than the top players we have now. There is no way that team should have failed to qualify for 1994 world cup. Anyhow - I wouldn't say that Carrick, Jagielka, Johnson, Defoe, Milner are much of an upgrade on some of the poor players you mention. Sinton was more effective in the premier league than many of those. |

piszczek and lewandowski would walk into english squad, but 9 players the other way

win lose or draw....this is a shameful performance.
