|
|
By:
Hazard is 13/8
Tevez is 12/5 (if he starts i might have a single bet on him or do him on a double with hazard) cheers themover |

just found this as well :
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/stats/assists/_/league/eng.1/barclays-premier-league?cc=5739 which has previous seasons history for assists. Top players for assists in 2011/12 season : 1 David Silva Manchester City 15 2 Antonio Valencia Manchester United 13 Juan Mata Chelsea 13 4 Emmanuel Adebayor Tottenham Hotspur 11 Alex Song Arsenal 11 6 Nani Manchester United 10 Gareth Bale Tottenham Hotspur 10 8 Robin Van Persie Arsenal 9 Samir Nasri Manchester City 9 Stephane Sessegnon Sunderland 9 11 Ryan Giggs Manchester United 8 Sergio Agüero Manchester City 8 Theo Walcott Arsenal 8 |
|
By:
so across 38 matches last season the highest player for assists was David Silva with 15. The previous 2 seasons were topped with 14 and the one before that a lowly 10 (Lampard 2008/9). Cesc Fabregas was the highest recently with 20 assists in 2007/8. Assuming this seasons top player creates 15 assists that would mean taking a price on any player of less than 2.5 won't be paying in the long run. At with all those assumptions I'm now off to bed

The key for this surely has to be to wait for bigger teams v smaller teams and then have a look at the type of strikers selected.
If they bigger team goes with pace look for through balls. If they got with height go for wide men. |
|
By:
very good marychain1.
some good prices available. and its a good bet over 90mins. So as you said key is bigger team v smaller teams were the bigger team might score 3 or 4 past the smaller team that way there will be 3 or 4 assists giving your player a good chance of assisting at least 1 of them. |
|

Chelsea vs Norwich
Might try hazard, mata, Torres.singles, double, treble Very good prices. Hazard due am assist too |
|
By:

Anyone know if being fouled for a penalty count as an assist?
|
|
By:
*counts

|
By:
Just noticed your post regarding what is an assist The Bhoys. Which is a valid point I guess
Spoilsports seem to use what is produced from the press association (http://www.pressassociation.com/) but I can't find anywhere where it says what they consider an assist and what isn't. |

Just found this on wiki :
"In Britain, all game statistics, including assists, for the Premier League, the Scottish Premier League and the Football League are provided by PA Sport under the Actim brand. Since the 2006–07 season, assists have been factored into the Actim Index of Premier League player performance." |
|
By:
^ might explain why all the UK football sites went haywire last weekend when the PA system crashed.

|
By:
yes FUNKY thats a winner fouled for a penalty and someone else takes it, the assist is awarded to the person fouled who won the penalty

|
By:
I'm just having small dabbles on singles at the moment until I get the hang of it (hopefully!). So from today's matches I did :
Tevez 12/5 (landed and covered for a few losses now!) Larsson (lost) Routledge 3/1 Morrison 3/1 Baines 9/2 and Pienaar 10/3 so want some goals in that match! Vaz Te 5/1 Cazorla 3/1 going to leave the short-priced ones alone for now (anything around the 2/1 and lower mark) but will watch how they get on. |
|
By:
Gone for:
Hazard Cazorla Morrison Fellaini Routeledge Doubles 5-leg: £1 wins £612 ![]() If that comes in, no doubt they will close my account down |
