How is is possible that Hulk and Witsel earn three times more than us locals? Are they so much better than us? We won more titles than them. If Leo Messi or Andres Iniesta were signed, that would have been another story. They are worth a lot. But now the situation is not balanced,” he roared.

Denisov was immediately demoted to train with the reserve team

still think zenit will win, this is hulk's and witsel's (if he starts) trial by fire, thse guys are more than capable of securing a win for zenit against a massively weakened ac milan team (compared to last year's ac milan), got three bets on it, zenit to win, under 2.5 goals and hulk to score

Kerzhakov has obviously backtracked then because he's starting too

Denisov therefore has been made to look a right pr*ck.

Russian champions Zenit Saint Petersburg said on Friday their star striker Alexander Kerzhakov was back in the squad after rebelling over the big money signing of Brazilian Hulk from Porto.

Kerzhakov had backed a revolt led by fellow Zenit Russian national team member Igor Denisov demanding new wage conditions after the signing of Hulk on a reported salary of $6.5 million a year.

The management of the team, sponsored by state gas giant Gazprom, reacted furiously and consigned the pair to the youth team. Italian manager Luciano Spalletti weighed in by saying Kerzhakov thinks "only about himself".

But Zenit said in a statement that Kerzhakov had "had enough time to think things through" and approached Spalletti to ask for talks.

"Kerzhakov showed readiness to be at the disposal of the team and from now on he will continue work in the main squad," it said.

There was no further information about the future of Denisov, who is still consigned to the youth squad and has been linked to a string of English Premier League clubs.

im sure milan will turn up today, they have too. Zenit just looked awful against loko at home at the weekend. The main problem is, its not a disadvantage to go to russia at this time of the year, its not that cold.

Strange side picked by Milan, their subs bench looks better than their starting lineup

Mexes, Nocerino, Robinho, Pazzini all subs?
