I fancy Madrid to win the Champions League this season and think they'll win tonight but City could turn them over if they get off to a good start and the fans get on Madrid's back.  Only a total, complete and absolute buffoon would write an excellent City side off against a shaky Madrid.

Excellent City side? When have they been excellent this season? (To be honest, I think it's too early in the season for any team to have hit their 'excellent' form already.)

People talk about Real Madrid having lost twice already this season, but those defeats have come away from the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu. At home, I think they will overcome a Manchester City side who narrowly defeated Southampton at home and only got draws away against Liverpool and Stoke City.

I am not saying City can't defeat Madrid tonight, but I think it will be more of a case of Madrid playing badly than City playing 'excellently'.

but this is first game and i think caution will rule the day

im gonna lay overs and trade at around half time

there may be a few late goals in the game Cool

I didn't say they in excellent form, but they are an excellent side with some superb players.

City are a good side and have European experience under their belt now, they will be a different proposition this season. I fancy City to take a nice scalp tonight.

Come of think of things did Southampton not run them close also.

problem for City has been defensively. Conceded far too many goals already, big night for Lescott tonight as he's been out of form lately imo and had a shocker for England as well.

City are great value but I do wonder why.. I have a feeling a few of the bigger names like tees silva yaya could be rested with arsenal in mind at the weekend, theyv also drifted too in price ,winger said he will make changes for their match too

But when it comes down to La Liga against EPL there can only be one outcome in that particular contest.

One is a stroll in the sun for their top two big clubs.

The other is the most competitive and highest quality league in the world.

Madrid had a sick roll going on at Sevilla too, past 2 games beat them 2-6 and 0-1.. They can't keep playing like they are away at the bernabau.. Doesn't happen, they also have only 2 defeats in 42 at home in Europe, arsenal 2006 and Liverpool 2009

Not sure the chaser, just had a look at their squad earlier saw they bought bojan from Roma.. I think they'll struggle for goals this season

Depends if Madrid take an early chance

Lets be honest does anyone seriously think Tevez or Balotelli start will even get a few shots away?
By:

they will get some shots away that's for sure, whether they make the net ripple is another matter

I hope Yaya also gets forward as much as possible tonight. He's one of the players that won't be phased by the Bernabeu

Just because English teams done it before doesnt mean it will happen again though.Celtic have been to the nou camp 3 times i think in the last 8-9 year won 1 drew 1 lost 1.Who is your money on this time round?
