a player unavailable?
Report PHILthePOWER September 18, 2012 9:30 AM BST
They are stunning odds, Monthpelliar have been woeful this season and without Giroud they will be in a relegation battle in Ligue 1.

Arsenal on fire and defensively solid, 2.36 is a must.

Also i'm trying Arsenal to nil and -1. have a good feelingCool
Report berto77 September 18, 2012 9:38 AM BST
It does look a good price given the contrast in form but on the other hand Arsenal have lost 8 of their 12 Champions League away games.  I think I might avoid this one unless they drift further.
Report Regular Fries September 18, 2012 9:39 AM BST
They've never lost away in France though I believe.
Report PHILthePOWER September 18, 2012 9:40 AM BST
And they are group stage specialists as well, cant see anything other than 0-2 or 0-3.
Report berto77 September 18, 2012 9:43 AM BST
They've only played once in France in the last 10 years, that 0-1 win in Marseille last year.
Report mikeywinner September 18, 2012 9:45 AM BST
unders and maybe no goalscorer
Report guz1 September 18, 2012 10:00 AM BST
I really fancy them. I thought 2.16 was a gift and they would maybe go odds on before ko!!!
Report high_lander September 18, 2012 10:09 AM BST
Those odds are generous - put it this way, I cant see Arsenal losing the game.
Report mikey September 18, 2012 10:14 AM BST
7/5 with you win seems a very good price.

Remember Arsenal play Man City on Sunday. Will Wenger's team line-up reflect this?
Report maverick September 18, 2012 10:33 AM BST
yes, I think Diaby will be held back given that we can expect one game a month from him
Report berto77 September 18, 2012 10:34 AM BST
The expected team is as follows:

Mannone
Jenk Merte Verm Gibbs
Arteta Coq Carzola
Gerv Giroud Podolski
Report noland2_ September 18, 2012 10:39 AM BST
odds suggest Walcott starting Shocked
Report dizzyfcuk September 18, 2012 10:43 AM BST
i still don't know why people put Coquelin in thier line ups.
Report maverick September 18, 2012 11:39 AM BST
? as in you don't think he'll start or you don't think he's good?
Report kingmax September 18, 2012 11:50 AM BST
i can see koscielny playing, mannone, walcott, and ramsey starting
Report sugarfoot September 18, 2012 11:58 AM BST
Arsenal away in the group stage is rarely good value; record is 5-4-6 in the last five seasons, with most of the wins against poor sides (they have gone 1-1-5 in the KO stage with the last win in Milan in 2008).  They have already played out two 0-0 draws against Sunderland and Stoke this season.  Montpellier haven't started well with a 1-1 and 0-1 at home, but last season they were 16-2-1 in the league.  You would expect Arsenal to win 5-0 at the Emirates on current form, but their muted away performances in this comp would make them an unattractive bet
Report high_lander September 18, 2012 12:20 PM BST
I fancy a draw in this one.
Report Sergei_Rebrofl September 18, 2012 12:42 PM BST
I'm not sure how much we can put into the away form of Arsenal this season sugarfoot, Sunderland played like a classic MON team, set out to frustrate and not remotely interested in winning - Arsenal really ought to have seen them off comfortably. Stoke also seem to be a team who the top clubs don't enjoy going to...you do make a good point about Arsenals record away in Europe but I can't help but feel like this Arsenal team have improved rather significantly this season. I'll have a small bet on Arsenal.

Wenger has to watch the game from the stands. Plus keeper is an accident waiting to be happen. Champions League game with a French team at home always seem to be really dull and low-scoring. Arsenal would be happy with a point. I reckon 0-0 or 1-1.
Report Can't Catch Me September 18, 2012 1:56 PM BST
Arsenal a good bet imo.
Report Can't Catch Me September 18, 2012 1:57 PM BST
I should add the reason I think that, is that I am good mates with two Montpelier season ticket holders who say they look a shadow of the team of last season and have been very poor thus far. They are fearing the worst tonight.
Report Platini September 18, 2012 2:21 PM BST
Montpelier have no experience at this level.
French teams have a shocking record against English sides.
Montpelier look weaker than last season and are in poor form.
Arsenal look more solid than last season.

With all of the above considered, I can't have Montpelier here, and they are
are a shocking price.
