****g flashscores did me in too.
Report hornetsman September 17, 2012 4:55 PM BST
Yes!............. they have just done the same to me and it finished 1-3
Report Owen1981 September 17, 2012 4:59 PM BST
have emailed customer services, not sure what happened in the game but if there was any doubt the market should have stayed suspended as I would not have bet on the draw otherwise
Report hornetsman September 17, 2012 5:02 PM BST
good luck with it! Normally they are not interested but worth a try!
Report Darlo Bantam September 17, 2012 5:02 PM BST
It's ridiculous that people don't notice whether it's a genuine goal or not. And it took so long to be corrected. It must be easy to spot these internet goal checkers from the crowd. They're the ones with hats with a big D on.
Report Darlo Bantam September 17, 2012 5:07 PM BST
Sometimes I wonder if these goalspotters actually feed incorrect information just to mop up on incorrect odds.
Report CJ70 September 17, 2012 5:11 PM BST
All the bookies had the same problem.
Report Owen1981 September 17, 2012 5:12 PM BST
so void bets, simples
Report CJ70 September 17, 2012 5:14 PM BST
If I got on at a bookie because they mispriced the game I'd be fuming if it was voided.
Report Owen1981 September 17, 2012 5:16 PM BST
but if you took 1000/1 for correct score of 1-2 when it went 2-2, then back to 1-2 , (and if it stayed that score) would they honor the bet..? prob not

Like I suggested above, these goalspotters are amateurs.

Report Owen1981 September 17, 2012 5:19 PM BST
if it was 2-2 and they score last seconds and ends 2-3 fair enough I lost but the info was wrong to start with
Report CJ70 September 17, 2012 5:20 PM BST
Bookies wouldn't, but Betfair probably would.

I wasn't watching the stream, so I don't know what happened. Could have been one of those games where the goal was given and then after a scuffle the ref consulted the linesman and ruled it out. I've seen that happen more than a few times.

Fair enough. But it's simple - don't make yourself the referee, and only phone in a goal when the goal is actually given.

it finished 1-3.............. it never was 2-2

betfair had it at 2-2 at 89 mins, 1.2 for the draw

Report Darlo Bantam September 17, 2012 5:24 PM BST
Flashscores also had it 2-2. And according to CJ70 other bookies did. They probably all get their info from the same source - the same source that could make a killing by providing either duff info or realising he was wrong.
Report CJ70 September 17, 2012 5:24 PM BST
Same happened in the Metta II v Ventspils II game. It's a hazard especially when you don't have a stream.
Report Darlo Bantam September 17, 2012 5:26 PM BST
I saw it in a World Cup qualifier about two months ago. The daft thing was there was a stream on here. There were some people betting with the duff info and other people betting using the stream. On that occasion I was quids in from the error.
Report CJ70 September 17, 2012 5:28 PM BST
The worst one I've seen was a Ural game where the referee decided the goal wouldn't stand about 5 mins later after someone had piled into 1000/1 on the current score.

No sympathy with that one as the layer was trying to catch others out.
Report Owen1981 September 17, 2012 5:30 PM BST
I thought for games where they do not have a stream the market is not suspended like lower league UK matches, then you leave your bet in play at your own risk, anything that has suspended I thought would be watched and the suspended bets is only released after goal is confirmed
Report Darlo Bantam September 17, 2012 5:31 PM BST
No. Matches are suspended even where a public stream does not exist. I thought Betfair had private streams but errors like this make it clear that Betfair - like the high street bookies - are going on information provided to them in good faith.

happened yesterday as well it went 3-0 to cska moscow but changed back to 2-0

get over it because thinking about it only makes it worse imo and you have no chance of refund.you backed at own risk betfair dont have any obligation to show the correct scores its guidlines only
Report Owen1981 September 17, 2012 5:54 PM BST
from my experience in the past when betfair has no feed for a match you can either not bet in play or it is not suspended when goals go in. Win some and lose some but changing the score from what seems to be unreliable sources is a bit dodgy to say the least

Totally. I revert to your username. On this occasion, I've clawed it back quickly. I can (marginally) accept losses when I've got it wrong. It's much harder for me when it ain't my fault, or I don't perceive it to be.

surely every prem match has a feed, just not every one is available to the public, match of the day has video of every game
Report TheChaser September 17, 2012 6:11 PM BST
did this game have nothing?i was watching on a stream and it was a bit behind but betfair was on speed as the suspend for penalty was up like a amin before it was given on stream
Report CJ70 September 17, 2012 6:12 PM BST
If you think some of the in-play stuff will have less than 10 fans watching it'll normally always be the R-Ball scouts who provide the updates rather than a live stream.
Report TheChaser September 17, 2012 6:14 PM BST
what price was the lay on draw owen when you back the 1.2
Report Darlo Bantam September 17, 2012 6:16 PM BST
The draw price was around 1.2 to 1.25 when the game was still 1-2. The market believed the score was 2-2.
Report TheChaser September 17, 2012 6:18 PM BST
on both sides lay and back yeah

someone must have cleaned up on this then
