is that what you do here then, go over 2.5 and trade out at 2 goals? lock in about 40% profit rather than lose if no more goals?

na, I will usually hit over 1.5 goals....if another looks likely I will go in on over 2.5s but have been stung so much lately!

1.5 goals is so much more safer..and obviously comes in a lot more...if I was on over 2.5 goals here I think I would be greening up so profit on overs and maybe a small amount on unders so at least you win something.

Yeah, I used to go over 2.5s a lot but if there are no early goals then when 1 goal finally does come you cant really trade out for a decent profit and I found myself holding on for another which would generally come late giving no option but to trade out for a big loss. Then just as my bet gets matched the 3rd goal goes in....happened so often I prefer the o1.5 market instead...

na, Ive never used that, just calculate the amount you need to put on the opposing side, that will tell you what stake to use

Cash out manually, the automatic one through Betfair gives you less money

ie, if you backed at 2.06 and you want to trade out at 1.33 (because a quick goal has come) The calculation is....2.06/1.33 x stake (That will give you the amount to put on unders at 1.33 for an equal green)

Nowa days I just use Betting assistant by Gruss software. For £6 a month it costs nothing......can green up or red up instantly....people using the Betfair screen will be trying to workout the right calculation and the price will be moving against them, especially if liquidity is low or its near the end of the game when the money just seems to disapear....Those vital seconds can cost you bundles if your using biggish stakes

I do not know of any to be honest....Betting assistant software is good for trading as well, you can put in the price you wanna back at and put in say a 1 tic offset which means as soon as you are matched your lay bet goes straight into the market 1 tic lower than your back bet. Can be good on the goals markets if there are gaps in the prices...just put your back bet in the middle of them and probably 6/10 your lay bet gets matched as well.....if the market suspends before your lay is matched then its probably because of a goal and your in a winning position anyway.....if you dont get matched on the lay side you can either close the trade for a small loss or let it run....good for matches where you would have backed on the overs markets anyway
