tenpins..

O'Shea,Brown and Johnson.....

That would be £200k a week....

Even the Sunderland Job Centre Manager would be amazed at such figures....

Do you really think 10 million is too much for Adam Johnson ? Or just after a bite.

Was 10m the price ?

Im sure I saw Jarvis Wolves to West Ham for 9.5.

I think 10m is a bargain, good business by SAFC.

Hey I am just a country boy and I can only laugh at what happens in the Premier League "arrested".......

For £10 million (and £100k a week) I would want more than a City Squad Player.Trouble is Martin O'Neil is not the messiah that you crave...

However I love the fact that he is signing British players because I do believe that there are plenty out there who should be given a chance, trouble is that Sunderland seem to be the team to buy any overpriced ones...

And I must leave now Saha..Saha..Saha....

^ England International, still quite young what considering the stupid money being paid to foreigners do you think he will be on Ibrahima ?

I've heard he has taken a pay cut to keep him in line with Sunderlands wage structure but received a canny signing bonus.

grawkhawk, a endless supply of cheesy chips can hardly be seen as a canny signing bonus.

I hope he does alright there. Sunderland are almost as bad as Liverpool in taking talented players and turning them to sh1t. Just look at Stewart Downing since he joined them.

Credit to someone leaving the Premier League champions in order to play on a regular basis.
Many would warm the bench and collect their wages without a care.

Like all players you need regular games, johnson has done the right thing by moving to sunderland and playing regular football. Downing/Carroll/Rchards and the list goes on should all be playing regular football but find themselves on the bench to Englands detriment.

Yeah Liverpool have destroyed Downing. I imagine that's why he opted for Sunderland. He probably would have got a regular place for Liverpool, but look at what's happened to Adam, Henderson, Carroll even Suarez is on a severe downtrend. Liverpool = career killers.

Not having a pop but if Wes and John are on £50k a year each what will the new fella be on....

He's hardly a youngster, he's 25 and needs to play so it's a decent move.  I do think hes become a better player on the City bench and he's got to perform regularly now.  This season will define his career.

In comparison to Jarvis the reported ten million is laughably cheap ...

City paid 7 million to Boro when he was a promising championship player. Now as an England International and having played a notable role in helping City win the league he's sold for for 3 million  odd more.

I'm a City fan and our transfer negotiating strategies are clearly woeful.
